  3. I have two Caspian Hi-caps in 9mm. Making major with out a problem. Using the original style mags with no adjustments required. I also have two of the ACT mags for Caspian, one 9mm one 38 Super both have worked with 9mm Alan
  4. Iggy, Come out to the next match At Summit Point WV. While it is not on the club wesite yet we are planning on holding the match on Nov 27. I will bring my Caspian Limited gun and there will be S_I's in attendance also. Sumiit Point Action Shooters website You can sign up for email notifications ona the website also. Alan
  5. In my opinion, when the contract is negotiated the dates should be set. Even taking in account the world shoot years where you could have tentative dates
  6. From what I can recall the agenda is published at least 30 days in advance of the BoD Meeting. To get an item on the agenda, you should submit the item to your AD and they would request the items to be included on the agenda. The submission should contain pertinent information supporting the item. After the 30 day window an item can still be added to the agenda, this would be done at the BoD and the BoD votes to include additional items. The HHF item is to review the policy of USPSA not releasing the HHF. This is releated to the existence of the classifier calculators. The Presidents salary item, is to review setting the Presidents salary to take effect when a new President is elected. Alan
  7. Setting up a USPSA match on a range that has requirements of where you can place targets, directing rounds to impact into the berms, not having rounds impact the side berms. These are requirements that can be addressed in stage design and builds. Years ago it was pretty silly with clubs having their own rules, maximum velocities to make major and stuff of that sort. Knowing that the equipment I have and the rules of the sport are supposed to be consistent at any USPSA affiliated match is one of the main reasons I participate in USPSA events. Shooting stages that are designed to take in the requirements of the range with angles of fire. That is part of the challenge. I shoot regularly at the longest running USPSA affiliated match facility in VA, And it is in an apple orchard and there are some serious stage design requirements. But the match directors over the years have made it work and it works very well. If I shoot at a match where a stage that has been set up illegally, it is not that big of a deal. Match directors and their crews bust there butts to put on matches and if something slipped through the cracks that is not a major concern. Where I draw the line is when the MD's intentionally setup a stage to be illegal because they are trying to screw with an individual. I do not feel there is no place in USPSA for that type of an attitude. I have seen clubs that have decided to drop their affiliation and they have gone from being prosperous to struggling with small turnouts, so did they really safe any money as they were hoping. The activity fees are only $3.00 per competitor so with match fees that are in the $15-$20 range the clubs still pulls in $12-$17.
  8. Well, if USPSA wants to get tough, I know of several clubs that will save many thousands of dollars in activity and classifier fees and whose members will save on membership fees. Maybe they will save that money and maybe the USPSA members will take their money to a range that operates and follows USPSA rules. I know of a club that generates more profit from USPSA matches that they do Skeet and Trap shoots, but they still treat the USPSA poorly. If a club that is currently bringing 12,000 to 15,000 a year in USPSA fees does not want to follow the rules, what would they do when the USPSA activity ceases. I kind of believe that the people that shoot USPSA do so because of the rules, consistency, classifications and so forth. And in time a club that stops holding USPSA matches will loose that customer base. For facilities that do not follow USPSA rules and try to make local rules IMO the best course of action is for the USPSA members to try and change these facilities from the bottom up using peer pressure to make that happen. Alan
  9. If you look at the USPSA Club Affiliation Form a representative from the club signs this document that the club will hold USPSA matches and follow USPSA Rules.
  10. Leozinho, At FRGC you currently only have access to the 25 yard range and that is not exclusive. While you can use the other bays, you are on the rifle range and the rifle range takes prioirty so you would need to clear out of those bays if a member that wants to use the rifle range shows up. The two new bays are not open for general use as of yet. Alan
  11. Congratulations to all the newly elected BoD for USPSA. And thanks to all that volunteered to run for office. Even though some lost in the elections USPSA is a better organization due to the memebrs we have that step up and offer their time for the organization. Alan
  12. I have two Hi-Cap TI frames from Caspian. When I get around to it I am going to build a carry gun using the Ti frame. Make sure when you get the frame you have Caspian fit the slide and frame and do their Carbide treatment to the frame rails. Alan
  13. As soon as I receive them from TechWear we will start mailing them out
  14. Major match scores that are used for classifications are not submitted electronically. The USPSA office needs to enter the results manually. USPSA has the results and payment has been made. I do not know anymore than that. Alan
  15. I don't know Seth, gonna be hard to hit the broad side of the barn missing the rear sight.
  16. From the last conversation I had with Val @ USPSA Limited, Open, Production, and Revolver were being reviewed to be used as classification scores. ONLY Limited 10 and Single Stack did not have the required number of GM's Alan

  25. First, I would like to thank Seth for taking on the Lions share of getting the Squadding done while I spent the day Sunday sick as a dog on the couch. Seth's effort were a tremendous help. Chris, Thanks, yep this ain't our first Rodeo. The TechWear USA 2010 Area 8 Championship is going to be a great match for those that can make it. We have quite a list of current and former USPSA National Champions and IPSC World Champions. You want to shoot with the best come on out. We will even have two of our newly minted TV stars, JJ and Blake. Max confirmed last night he will be here with Blake. Rob, You broke the code. The Sat/Sun Shooting Schedule is the one that is probably the most confusing. So here I will try to explain it. Squads 301-305 will be 13 shooters and will shoot all 10 stages and chrono on Saturday 28 Aug 2010. Squads 306-311 will be 7-8 competitors and will shoot all 10 stages and chrono on Saturday 28 Aug 2010. Squads 312-316 will be 7-8 competitors and will shoot Stages 6-10 and the Chrono Stages with Squads 306-311 on Saturday Morning AM 28 Aug 2010 and then finish up with stages 1-5 on Sunday Morning. I will be renumbering squads 312-316 to 326-330 and add squad 331 tomorrow night. Squads 351-356 will be 7-8 competitors and will shoot Stages 1-5 and with Squads 306-311 on Saturday Afternoon 28 Aug 2010 and then finish up on Stages 6-10 and chrono on Sunday morning. This should allow us to finish up around 12-1pm on Sunday. Hope that helps explain for everyone. I appreciate everyones patience while I worked out some of the details. I have been pretty much able to honor everyones first request for squadding and I know I have some change requests pending that I will get to tomorrow. Take a look at the squadding and we still have plenty of room if you want to come shoot on Friday, we would love to have you and I promise to give you the best damn Area 8 Championship I can. Thanks Alan edited because I am tired and can't type
