  1. I have managed to shoot the support wires on my Shooting Chrony, yanking them completely out of the assembly, no less than 4 times. The last time actually broke the electronics loose from the metal housing. After all of the carnage it still works!
  2. I have the Silent Captured Buffer installed in my DPMS carbine and you can remove and install it with the retainer installed. You have to depress the plunger with a thin object (tip of a knife blade or small flat screwdriver) at a couple of points during install and removal but its just a minor inconvenience. I do plan to remove the plunger the next time that I have the buffer tube removed since I'm going to stick with the SCB longterm. I can't give a comparison to the Low mass buffer because I have never had one but it does a great job of eliminating the buffer spring noise.
  3. I'm sure you have already thought of this but it is possible that loading a different brand/type/weight of bullet with a "fatter" profile could also cause this issue if it just contacts the slide stop. The sure way to cure it is to just disable the slide lock feature by trimming the some of the stop lever away and don't run dry.
  4. They suspected the BAD lever on mine as well. I removed it and it did make a difference because it started to lock the slide open about 25% of the time but still no where near 100%. I hope that the lighter spring will allow me to reinstall the BAD lever ( which I really like) and still lock open reliably.
  5. Made in USA is what tipped the scales to the Trojan for me. I have tried both but ultimately bought the Trojan in 9mm. It has become my hands down favorite pistol, especially for IDPA.

    Primers

Are they guaranteed "Once Fired" primers?
  7. I'm waiting impatiently as well. I love my V-Max but slug accuracy is just pathetic with factory extension tube and barrel clamp plus a carbon fiber mag tube will look awesome!
  8. I sent JP an email earlier this week describing the issue that I was also having with the slide not locking back reliably with the SCS installed. The technician agreed that I need a lighter spring and they are going to send me one at no cost when they get them back in stock. Great customer service from these guys!
  9. Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and efforts to make this match happen! The stages were all awesome ( well except for PITA maybe) and I had a blast shooting them with Squad 26! Hope to do it again next year!
  10. Hey Daniel, I've been looking for that Para in the classifieds all day LOL! But seriously, even with all of our bad luck and screw ups at the end of the day it was still a fun day of shooting with my friends in Squad 18. Later, Michael Malone Squad 18 Survivor!
  11. I run bullet feeder die in 3rd station, dillon seat die in 4th and Lee Factory Crimp in last station. It is very easy to do a visual powder check before raising the case into the bullet feed die. You won't regret getting the bullet feeder I guarantee it! 100 rounds in 4 min or less without breaking a sweat is a thing of beauty!
  12. 4 applications from East TN on the way! Can't wait to shoot this one!
  13. Damn! they are already sold out. I need one of these for my open M&P.
  14. I have been shooting an almost identical setup for the past year and love it! You will need to order the matching Dawson front sight to go with the adj rear. The matching DP sight is much taller than the factory front sight. I would also recommend getting one of the die cut grip tape sets now available from DP or SSS. If you want your slide to reliably lock back on an empty mag I would suggest getting the longer mag spring set from SSS as well. Good luck and have fun! MWM
  15. Those slide cuts look great. Did you do them yourself and if not where did you get it done. I am putting the finishing touches on an M&P Open gun and the only thing left of the to do list is to lighten the slide a bit. Thanks, MWM
