Thanks all for the kind welcomes. I'm excited to be here and look forward to going to some of the clubs that were suggested. BTW, is the Nashville NTPS and the Music City Tactical Shooters located at the same place?? Looking at the directions and the map they looked very close if not exactly the same. As far as eqpt., I have a G34 that I just recently installed Dawson FO front st and Dawson adj. rear st ( really love em), 4 mags (might need more), but no holster, belt or mag pouches. Also need a range bag (I like the Midsouth USA bags, but they're out 'til Nov). I would like to improve my trigger, but not sure how those changes will affect the various competitions (that's a ? for another area of this forum) Anyway, for now, I will continue with dry-fire practice and occasional trips to the range. Hopefully, I can get good enough that I want make a total fool of myself when I get with some of you guys. I'm going to try and get to some of the club shoots mentioned above and the TN Sectional 9/25 & 9/26. Thanks again for your help and suggestions Mike

I'm new to this forum and I have never shot in competition. But, I want to learn what it takes to compete and how to not make a total fool of myself ;} I look forward to continuing to learn and eventually (when I get the nerve) actually participating in a competition. I'm not even sure what tournaments are held near me (I'm in Nashville, TN). I would love to go to one to observe. Again, thanks from a newb! Mike
