  1. I placed an order for powder & sp primers with Grafs on 02/28/13. Nothing yet.
  2. FYI. I bought a used timer and all the button labels had been worn off. I contacted CE and got the front and back case for $2.00 + $5.50 shipping. Its good as new now.
  3. Right. Just being facetious. After two years of shooting I'm realizing that if I want to be more than a mid c shooter I will have to do more than just shoot. I've always had a sharp focus on the front sight but never committed to shot calling. Starting just recently I will am working on that along with starting some dry fire practice and more range time. Generally just putting in more practice and thought into what I must do to improve. You see, unfortunately I have no natural talent for shooting so I will have to do it the hard way.
  4. I dont understand the importance of keeping count either but as they say "different strokes for different folks". I see these ads all the time for a gun or reloader and they will say something like 18,000 rounds through it. Surely they are just guestimating. I've been shooting a couple of years and I have no idea how many rounds I've shot.
  5. I've been calling my shots from the very fist one a couple of years ago. The problem is that I am frequently wrong.
  6. You know every COF I've shot favors all of the shooters that are faster and more accurate than me regardless of whether or not you must go prone.
  7. Agreed. I load standing and I dont think I've ever had a high primer. While standing you just lock your arm and lean into the handle to seat the primer. Sitting it would be all arm/back strength and I think that would get old fast.
  8. Garrett, You have a great looking, actually beautiful, loading team there. I'm jealous.
  9. Great idea. Now all I have to do is get the 3 car garage.
  10. I would just wait until after the election. If obama is re-elected (Noooooooooooo!) you will probably get them free as part of the wealth redistribution. On the other hand, if Romney is elected (fingers and evertyhing else crossed) you will have to find a way to buy them yourself just like its supposed to work. Just sayin.
  11. Seems to me the easiest and quickest thing to do would be to slap the old guide rod and spring back in to see if that corrects the problem. I put a new guide rod and spring in my wife's glock 17 and sure enough at the match on saturday she had a problem with a failure to feed on the first two stages. Went to the safe area and put the factory guide rod and spring back in and had no problems on the remaining 3 stages.
  12. I bet they are 38 super casings which are longer and that is the reason for the "cartooned over bell".
  13. Of course I called it. After all I was aiming at it.
  14. Where did you find them? Actually what I did was just buy a different brand.
  15. Steve RA, You’re right, I failed the plunk test. I had to force it and I noticed that I was hitting the rifling but in this particular case failing the plunk test is a good thing.
  16. I need 20,000 Federal 100 SP primers and all of the sources I know say out of stock & no backorder. Anyone know where they are available? Thanks, Dean Never mind, just found them.
  17. Yeah. Seemed obvious looking at it but I was sure that I had read that the large pistol plate worked on 9mm. A misunderstanding can really screw things up.
  18. Just looking online and it looks like I must get a small pistol plate. I thought the large pistol plate was good for 9mm but I was wrong.
  19. Been loading .40s&w for a couple of years with no problem but just started loading 9mm and every 20-50 cases dropped down the tube the case feeder binds up because there are 2 casings in one of the slots of the large pistol plate. I've taken the plate out and put it back in several times to no avail. Looks to me like there is too much room between the outer edge of the plate and the removable portion of the case feeder wall which allows the double case problem and I see no way to correct this other than jury rigging something. Any ideas for a solution?
  20. It was pretty much level when I started and when I tilted it I raised the front .5" - 1". I really think it was this that caused the change in the average fps and not the shadows being moved over the sensors.
  21. skydiver, these days we have to make every spent dollar count.
  22. Does red lobster still have all you can eat crab legs? If so I'm all over that.
