  1. What happened to your last Open gun?
  2. JoeBob's has a different g-mag lower and others carry this same one as well, just with a different rollmark.
  3. Interesting indeed. I can certainIy see that configuration helping with reloads...
  4. You can also do it with a tubing cutter and manual trimmer to trim to final length after running through a .300BO sizing die. Set the tubing cutter at the bottom of the shoulder and cut off the neck and shoulder. Run product through sizing die. Place sized product in trimmer to get to final length. Load.
  5. To OP's original question, I know that Precision always cautioned against cutting the coating when loading/seating/crimping the bullets. Possible that more bell to ease seating or less crimp might be a remedy...?
  6. Dillon presses go on sale when someone who owned one passes away or quits shooting...
  7. Precision Tactical does awesome work on M&P slides. Based in Crestview, FL, and they do great Cerakote work as well. Shoot me a PM for pics of a couple slides they've done for me. Or just check out their FB page for pics.
  8. Yeah, Kuan... How did you do that?
  9. I put the TF +10 on an ETS and after working a bit to get the follower to pass the junction, I get 41 without issue. I agree that I should seldom need more than the ETS 31 with a DP +5/6 Glock extension to start with 36-37, but the 41-42 is nice to have in the bag for the occasional 36rd stages with steel, etc.
  10. No interest in trolling here, but the question about a 1-6 on a PCC seemed pretty silly to me... As far reducing recoil/muzzle-rise/muzzle-dip, I was just in a conversation with a buddy of mine about whether or not comps on PCC's are even worth developing. And, if they are worth developing, do they need to mitigate recoil, muzzle rise related to ultra-hefty bolt and carrier slamming rearward, or muzzle dip related to same ultra-hefty masses slamming back forward. I'm fairly certain that there isn't enough gas in most of our rounds to accomplish all these things. Seems a heavier recoil spring might help with rearward movement/muzzle rise, lighter spring might help with forward movement/muzzle dip. Lighter bullets with more powder(and resulting gas volume) could work comps better. But heavier bullets at lower velocities seem to "feel" better to many. Here is a question that my physics knowledge couldnt seem to overcome... One load has a 115gr bullet with a powder charge to generate enough velocity to hit a 145PF. 2nd load has a 147gr bullet with a powder charge to reach same PF. Obviously, the lighter bullets must travel faster and the heavier bullets slower, but what about the velocity of the bolt/buffer? Dos it travel rearward with the same velocity? Back forward at the same rate? Can I make(commission) an aluminum comp that would hold up to minor PF ammo on a 16" barrel? Would Al be up to the task for a few thousand rounds?
  11. I would go with heaviest 1-6 you can find, maybe even something a little stouter like a Bushnell 1-8.5x; you never when those couple of extra "X's" might help. And a stout mount too, like maybe a Bobro. The extra mass on top of the gun should help keep it from moving around too much.
  12. As another PCC shooter, I too would suggest that changing the stages is NOT the correct answer. No-shoots to "shield" the props is the way to go. As previously mentioned, we play by the rules(and stages) we are given. Learning to shoot off the weak shoulder is the biggest takeaway that I've had from these types of situations. Props get shot in all of the action disciplines with various firearms. No-shoots greatly encourage shooters to avoid hitting the props to which they are affixed.
  13. It will definitely trash the follower if that beast of a bolt keeps bashing into it...
  14. Fit is first for me. If I pick it up and have to do a lot to get the sights to line up with where I think I'm aiming/pointing, then I'm out. So far, my first very well-used 6" STI 2011 has been the best for me. Maybe my grip learned that gun to some degree, but I've tried 4-5 other STI's and even an SV since and none of them match that one. I can go back and pick it up and the sights always come right to where I want them.
  15. Pretty sure Jesus carried a .45. Just sayin'...
  16. Hear-Pro is basically defunct to be more descriptive. Owner is persuing other endeavors. My "1st Gen" electronics began coming apart. I reached out to Brad for help as he is still local to me. He referred me to the company that makes the products, Fluxx Audio Labs up in the NorthEast. They said they could repair them for an additional $300...
  17. Does everyone shoot the MG stage? It's not actually part of the pistol match. Makes much more sense to me to create a 2nd match for the MG stage. It's not all the same thing. You could score the MG stage as USPSA MG or by any other rule set.
  18. Is the intent to allow shooters to be able to see scoring holes in targets? If there is a hole in a moving target, its a scoring hit. Trying to help the shooter a little...
  19. There is a great youtube video by Jerry M. that walks you through the process.
  20. Don't be a dick to all the pistol shooters and ruin your(and other PCC shooters') welcome at your club. Be humble and set a good, safe example. We PCC'rs need all the good press we can get these days. And, it seems easier to stay(appear) "safer" by keeping your PCC bagged between runs. Take bagged gun to line when you're up. Un-bag pointed into downrange berm... Just be a little extra-careful.
  21. 6+1+1=8 No extra hits...no extra hit penalty...penalty for extra shot fired.
