Zzt, I appreciate the advice on the PCC! Keep in mind that this is a AK design. I do have an AR9 that I use in for PCC class and I will put your advise into motion with it. The RMR HP’s are very rounded and that is the reason why I’m having to seat them so deep. As long as my chrono corporates I will find something that works. My CED m2 has always given me fits recording. My go to round for all is a 124 FMJ with tite group. I have a lot of these HP and I want to use them in the PCC’s

Thanks Memphis! I haven’t yet played with blue dot that much but have with all the others. First time using the RMR HP’s, I’ve mainly loaded the Speer GD and XTP in 9 for my pistols I bring in the deer woods with me. well aware of the PP bright flash. I use that in my .357SIG flame thrower I will come off a grain or two with the AA#7 and chrono every round I fire. Soon as I get the velocity I’m looking for I will stop!! I know these blow back blasters aren’t designed for a healthy supply of HOT ammo but I also know 1,200FPS should be easy with a 10.5” barrel. Just was looking for insight from someone who has done this. since were on the topic, do you think a roller delayed would be better suited for the high pressure stuff? Thinking about a roller delayed stribog.

My V isn’t easily throated, and yes you are correct I meant to say leade/freebore not short chamber. my hornady manual lists the 124 XTP at 1.060” and a max charge of AA#7 at 7.9gr which should be standard pressure specs. If I remember correctly, when I measured both bullets the XTP was .030” longer then the RMR but the OGIVE length was shorter. The V is rated for +P+ so this should be safe.

So here’s my dilemma and forgive me if it has already been discussed. I want to load the RMR 124gr HP I have on hand for 1,150-1,200 FPS. These have a very long OGIVE for HP’s and my PCC’s have very short chambers. I need to seat them at 1.070” to fit the chamber for my 9mm carbines which is the main platform they are to be used. In a pinch, I also don’t want to blow up my pistols if I have to use them. Current Powder’s on hand AA#7/blue dot/power pistol/WSF/tite group i want to do this safely without crazy pressures and was wondering if anyone could help on the matter. I started last night and figured AA#7 would be the safest place to start given its burn rate. So I loaded 50 each 124gr RMR HP OAL 1.070” Once fired cases/WSP/heavy taper crimp AA#7 at 7.0gr AA#7 at 7.5gr AA#7 at 8.0gr (this is starting compressed) looking for a cheap HP load for my AK-V but also safe to shoot in my CZ’s/glocks/beretta’s.... what are your thoughts? Can this be done safely? Also, bullet specs if you’ve never used the RMR HP’s before weight avg 123.7gr avg length .556” avg OGIVE LENGTH .350”

Just want some feed back. I have 3 blade tech holsters and like them, they are all revolution series, but they don't offer a revolution for my SP01 shadow. I really liked the price point of the revolution about $30 and was hoping to spend about that. If a quality holster cant be had for under $50 I was thinking ether the blade tech Stingray $65 or the Double Alpha PDR $70 and this is where the feed back comes in! I like the idea of the "inner suede leather" to help protect my shinny new pistol of the double alpha but I have no experience with them. What are the thoughts of anyone who has used both? Should I stick with what I know or is the Alpha worth a try????

I have a couple questions on making some +p/9mm major loads and was seeking some insight. My goal is to achieve 1250fps or more with a 124gr projectile. I want to do this with three powders that I currently have #7, WSF, and power pistol and from their choose the combo I like best. What I have started with is as follows 124gr precision delta at 1.160" Win brass WSP & fed 100 sp #7 at 8.5, 9, 9.4 & 9.7 gr There is not much data on WSF but I know guys shoot it in major, so some load data that anyone might have would help, also for power pistol. After I achieve my goal I will reduce the load a Lil and work back up with 124gr xtp & gold dots. I'm just starting with the delta's to save some money on the workup. I will shoot this load out of a G17 but also want to know if it would be save to shoot these threw a 92fs, pt99 with their thiner chamber walls? Thanks for the help! JG

I have had this happen with Power pistol and Tite group in .40 as well as 9. My 9mm with tite group is only 4.1gr with 124gr bullet and my .40 is 4.6gr with a 180. Clearing up any doubts that this was a problem before I made the primer switch, let me just say I clean my glocks way more often than is needed, about every 300rds, when I am board, and not just a barrel cleaning I do a 100% break down and clean everything, in part because its just so easy to do this with a glock and also to look for signs that something needs replacing. Now to federal factory ammo. I have a Federal "Ammo & Ballistics Catalog" and it has all 9mm JHP and FMJ as having 200 SPM primers and for whatever reason there 124gr and 147ge TMJ as having 205TMF primer. In a .40 all JHP use 100 SPP, FMJ 200 SPM primer and TMJ 205TMF. .357SIG all 200, .38special/.357mag all use 100. This catalog is from 2009 and it may be different today. I still use Fed 100 for my 9 in the glock with light striker springs, also use them with my Berretta 92FS with no problems. I switched back to winchester caps with my .40 loads because no matter what I did with my G35 and my .40 load the G35 would pierce the Fed 100's

I have a couple of glock 9mm's and bought them as LE trade in's and after looking them over I noticed that they have 40 length strikers in them, which my cause the problem with the 9m's. What I have done since the last time I posted on the subject, I took the melted striker (wich is now 9mm length) and stoned all the sharp edges away that were cased buy the anvil and also made the point or tip of the striker flat and kept it and the LW 4lb striker spring in the G17 and have shot about 3500 rounds through it with the fed 100 caps and is still going strong. Every once and a while I still see a pimer with a pin size hole in it but this is one out of a few houndred so I dont worry about it, its not like the big holes I was getting before. With the G35 I put a lightened steel striker in it with a 4lb spring and run WSP in the 40 and that also runs great. Also in doing some research on Federal ammo I found out that they use Fed 200 (small Pistol Magnum) primers in almost all there 9mm and 40 loads and can only assume that it is because of this problem that they do so. I hope this helps and don't throw away those old strikers they may still have some life left in them.

I have had a M2 for 6 months and I am still trying to learn how to use it. I have found that light conditions play the biggest roll to get good readings. most sunny days I get readings that seam feasible but than I get 1 or 2 E0/E1 out of a 10shot string. At my range I can shoot 180* so i would have to move the chrono in the sun till those E readings would go away. Usually this is with the sun is high in the sky at the 9 o clock. The best outing I have had with it thus fare was with a overcast sky, It worked great all day with SD reading below 10. The only problem I had on that day is when I switched from pistol to rifle (.223) lots of E1 (missed stop sensor) so my first thought was to big of a blast from rifle (this was at 10') so moved back and back and back intill I was like 30 yards away and still getting E1. So I moved back to 10' and made sure the screen was as level as it could be from me and took out a .22lr and walked the bullets down the beams till they started to read normal which was about 3" from the beam. Than it worked great with .223 as close as 6' away as long as I put those small bullets only 3" from the beams. I think a infrared screen will solve most of the problems people have with chronos.

I too can get 20 in the Arredodo's, but the last one takes some doing to get it in and with all 20 in a mag I have to seat the mag in the gun hard and the slide is a lil stiff to rack. What i do to over come this is when I get the command to "make ready" I lock the slide back then put in my first mag with 20, and all mags that are on my belt only have 19 in them and they seat without any extra effort. So I always have 20rds in the pistol on a stage.

Hornady 55gr FMJ are the way to go for 55gr's. Great out to 200, and will still work at 300 if its not to windy. I have tryed winchester and remington 55's and they are not as accurate as the Hornady's. My best accuracy load comes from Seirra 77gr at 2.250" with r-15 powder.

make sure its not you first, try shooting off a bench and rest (range bag). To adj. POI on any firearm always move the rear sight the direction you want the bullets to go and front sight, not possible on a Glock, in the opposite direction you want the bullets to go.

I have a KKM drop in barrel for my 35 and it is a nice up grade. I was haveing FTE but after I started checking my ammo with a case gage the problem went away.

I am always happy with anything free.

thats not to much crimp, should work fine. I think all my .45 are at about .470, u just need to remove the flair.

As stated above you should also change the extractor and ejector to 9mm and 9mm mags. Some work just fine with just a barrel change but I would also do the other up grades to. If your not shooting reloads or lead I would not worry about Kabooms in the .40. I have not delt with any GEN 4's yet but I know there more finiky then gen 3's mainly with recoil springs so u might need to change that as well.

when I first started reloading 6 years ago I Started with .45acp and berrys 185gr SWC. I used w231 and they worked great. I started with some very light powder puff loads and cycled in a 5" kimber just fine I think this load was 5.5gr and also went up to 6gr, but this was 6 years ago and have to check my records to be sure. I did like the berrys though.

I hear that brother. with titie group the chart said 4.7g and it would throw 4.1g and the next bigger hole would throw 5g, had to ream the smaller hole now they are all 4.6-4.7! this is for 40 not 9.

<br /><br />I only run powders that take up at least 50% of the case volume for this very reason. <br />I'm running 6.5 gr PowerPistol and I've accidentally "doubled" it when I've had primers not pop out and I re-cycle the handle. Power pistol will always be on my shelf, Very verstile. I switched to tite group for most of my match ammo to get more bang for my buck, less flash indoors, quick snap recoil. But I am always looking in the case to see if it has to much in there. If I could only have one pistol powder I think it would be Power Pistol. You can make some of the hottest loads with it in (9/40/45/357sig) also works great in 45colt and many more!

There is not any published data for 231 and the sig car. I would think 231 is to fast for that round. I load .357 sig and it is better suited with slower powders. I use power pistol. S.C.I. the band?
