Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I switched out the dillon crimp die for a LEE factory crimp die and have not had a problem with glock brass.
  2. does the hood have a cut for the 38 Super's semi rim? here is an example of the distinction: http://38super.net/Pages/38%20Super%20v.%209X23%20hood.html I will check this out when I fly back to Dutch Harbor.
  3. My barrel is the same. I am out in Dutch Harbor. No gunsmiths out here. I bought the gun from Gun Runners up here in Anchorage Alaska while I was out in Dutch Harbor. I don't think they will have the sellers contacts. Richard
  4. I bought a used open gun. I do not know if it is a 38 super or a 9x23. Please send me in the right direction on how to figure this out.
  5. The only few times I had a malf in a match was when I used missouri bullets. Tried them in major 40 and in my 10mm. I think the bullet was too soft. On the malfs that I pulled from my gun had the nose of the bullet deformed. There was alot of leading out of the 10mm. I do like it in 45. I shoot a 2011 5 inch and I load to 1.180. Just my input. Richard
  6. I just picked one up yesterday for 824.00. And I was given two free boxes of PMC ammo. This was just what I was looking for. A light weight user friendly carbine to carry while hiking up here in Alaska. Now I need time to test fire it and sight it in.
  7. Well we got the gun to shoot. Now we have another problem. After a string of rappid fire the gun does not want to let the safety go up. It does it when we do a function test. The saftey will go on all day long. It only happens when he does the rappid fire. I have not been able to check it out yet. I figure I would come here and get some ideas before I make my way to get the gun. Thanks for your help, Richard
  8. Their was too much tension on the left leaf and not enough tension on the middle leaf. We took it to the range and shot 50 rounds as fast as we can pull the trigger. Thanks again.
  9. thaks for the help guys, we took it apart and it was the leaf spring causing all the prolems. we tuned it and now it runs. Thanks again
  10. I have a friend that installed a new grip. Thats when the problem started. The gun has about a two pound trigger pull. Here is the problem, when I pull the trigger it falls to half cock when the magazine is installed. When the mag is not installed it will fall all the way to the striker about 98 percent. I knowticed that the rear leaf spring is set really light for the trigger bow and the sear. Thanks for all the help, Richard
  11. Thanks, I'll start their. Richard Please don't start at my major load. Back down at least .4 grains. Thanks for the info. I was looking on the powder chart and s1000 looks like it is a hotter burning powder than E3. I will back down. Richard
  12. Thanks, I'll start their. Richard
  13. sorry guys, This is for 40 s&w
  14. Ive been looking for load data for 200 gr lead bullets. I have solo 1000, red dot, clays, tg, E3, vv 340, vv 3n37, to play with. I am shooting an sti 5 inch. I want to make major and interested in trying the solo 1000. I used 3.3 grs of e3. They shot nice but it had alot of smoke. I am loading to 1.191 oal. Thanks for your help.
