  1. I also dont shake because of age (im 20). But i do shake terribly every match for the first stage or so. If i have the option i will try to shoot closer target stages first, or in an array shoot the closest first. My sights shake badly for the first 2-3 seconds in a stage. I just try to calm myself as much as possible. It doesnt cure it, but it does help slightly. But mostly i just try my best to shoot though it.
  2. I cant notice a difference with them. I guess theoretically it would increase the weight but i dont think that it a shock buff is wide enough to make a noticeable difference. Maybe a stack of five of them on a guide rod would, and i have actually heard of people doing that back in the day.
  3. Visit http://www.ncsection.org/ to view all the matches in the area. Its a big help in finding them
  4. I have had a few jacket fragments in my arm due to cheap steel. with an open gun those things are pretty fast even on the way back at you.
  5. Im 20 and i have looked for the same thing. I have almost always gotten the "Its up to the officers discretion" answer. I think if he is traveling with it just keep it in a locked case unloaded, and somewhere that isnt within easy reach of the drivers seat. That is the only other answer that i have recieved from the local sherrifs department. I have called over 10 people from the sherrif, police, state police, etc and have never gotten a 100% solid answer. Im not even going to go into my opinion on the subject, as ive been dealing with this since i was 17 not even being able to get to matches and shoot. In short, it sucks for us young guys!
  6. I normally eat 4 eggs the morning of a match, anything greasy, or fast food and i will feel bad around noon or so especially if its hot out.
  7. when are you getting back? make sure you check www.ncsection.org to find the matches in NC.
  8. there are some good matches in va, and there is a lot to learn on this forum!
  9. I have seen this mag when my buddy had it, and imo it looks pretty neat, open guns, 3 gun article etc. i havent had a chance to borrow it to read them yet but it looks pretty cool. there were a lot of pictures and not a lot of words, but they sure were purdy.
  10. THIS! it is getting out of hand.
  11. Anywhere from 5-7 here depending on the club
  12. I believe that it depends on the person, and their eyes. There are some people that try and try but can never make it work. I think that it is beneficial, as it is less strenuous on your eyes. I dont think it hurts all that much in the scheme of things if you cant do it though. Just shoot
