When LO was first introduced I was a diehard Open shooter. My thoughts was LO should’ve been rolled into CO but I had no interest in LO. Also had setups for Carry Optics and PCC. I like the dot. I just got new open guns at the end of 2022 and beginning of 2023 and in 9 major and 9 minor barrels. Started shooting 9 minor open and was liking it. Then the fire happened in August 2023 and I lost everything. The cost to replace my open guns were prohibitively high so now I’m settling for LO. I guess my opinion on LO has changed and now looking forward to shooting LO and using factory ammo.

I just received the new CR Speed mag pouches with the C-Bax brackets. Also got the Shooters Connection Ultimate Competition belt. The brackets fit the belt snugly and I used the set screw to anchor them in place. Didn’t know about any belt spacers but knew about the spacers for the different mag sizes. Let me check on the instructions that came with the pouches.

Nice. I had mine thinned where it meets the optic mount so it sits closer to the slide.

Well…went to a match and when my shooting partner picked me up at the airport he told me his optic mount screw broke. So I let him borrow my S2 top end from my backup gun. That way he was using his lower that he’s used to. First day of the match and my match gun goes down and I don’t have my backup anymore. So, we both used his gun with my top end. Finished the match.
At another match, my other friend decided to shoot his open gun, usually he shoots iron sights. Day before the match his optic mount screws all came loose. He was able to find thread locker that night and remounted the screws. On match day the optic mount held but now was having extraction issues. Tried to adjust and then replace extractor but wasn’t working. Offered him the use of my backup gun but he said it wouldn’t fit his holster because of my steel grip. So he shot the first day with his gun and was ready to quit. Then I asked him to go and try my gun in his holster. Whaddaya know, my gun fit his holster. He could have been using it for the first day. Good thing we were shooting the same caliber and same type of mags.
So having a backup gun was good for my friends.

Another option is to squad with someone who would let you borrow their backup gun or main gun in the same caliber.

I’m in one of those 10 round states and we don’t offer, in our club matches, the Limited 10 division because of USPSA rule 3.3.1 there’s no need. Limited is limited.
We also shoot Open division with 10 round magazines and NO one here is demanding an Open 10 division.
I am for the removal of Limited 10 division.
I am also for the increase in magazine capacity for Production. -
Update
Super Vel has responded and offered a couple of solutions. I will be trying Super Vel ammunition in the future but only in their new brass loadings. They do support the sport and I wanted to use their product.

I have a set of Gen 1 SV tubes that work as well, but are too long for the gauge.
Maybe the plastic insert is different in some magwells?
Do you know which magwell you have?

I had many failures to fire and most fired on a second trigger pull and a few never fired. 42 out of 1,000 failed the case gauge. There were no indications of high primers tho so it may be the primers they are using. PM sent. And they do have nice stickers.

The tool less Dawson +1 base pads didn’t work with the E2 grip and magwell unless it’s on a 170 mag. I had to replace my base pads with slim ones from another company for my 140 mags.
Maybe Dawson would consider making a slimmer tool less base pad, I prefer his base pads over the ones that use pins.

Currently (first time) using their certified select training ammo 9mm 124 grain fmj in CO nationals. Having issues with light strikes (all but one fired on a second trigger pull) and more than a few (42) not passing the case gauge. My gun never had issues with light strikes with my reloads and factory ammo. They use a heavy crimp as witnessed by the pulled bullet at chrono. I’ll be using the rest for practice only. It could be because my setup is a 11.5 lb hammer spring and extended firing pin with reduced power fp spring and 11 lb recoil spring. Or, could be hard primers.

The belt mount is a little thick and may cause issues of the gun being too far away from the inner belt. I put the LOK palm swell panel on the left side of the gun so it will be in compliance.

Yes, I replaced that spring with the #31 spring from Cajun. I just replaced the detent with a new one and will have to try it out and see if the gun doesn’t lock up again.

Also how was removing the old hanger and installing the new one? Was it plug and play or did you have to modify anything or do something extra, maybe like loctite?RP is Range Panda, got lazy typing.
Plug and play, so simple. I did use Vibratite on the screws since there was no signs of any locking compound.

Range Panda on left and Ghost on right.
Range Panda significantly thicker and lighter than the Ghost. Both are non-magnetic so the lightening holes in the RP bracket helps.

The slide stop is good. It happens just after firing, the slide moves back about 1/4-1/2” and the safety is forced up to the safe position. It’s apparently wedged up against the slide rail and safety cannot be moved down by thumb pressure and has to be tapped down with something (had to use the magazine) to tap the safety down to free up the slide. Slide pulled to the rear and an empty case is kicked out.
All is good until it happens again.
With Cajun parts kit and the adjustable seat, the thumb safety can be applied with the hammer down. The CZ Custom parts kit doesn’t allow the safety to be applied if the hammer is down.

My issue is not with the slide stop. The thumb safety kicks up when firing even when I’m riding the safety. After getting the safety to the off position it pulls the fired case the rest of the way out. Then it acts like nothing happened.

Mine is doing the same thing. It locks up just as it’s extracting a fired case. It locks up with the safety in the up position even though I’m riding the safety while firing.
Very intermittent and in the beginning I could disengage the thumb safety manually and free up the slide. Now I have to use something to tap the safety down to free up the slide. Thumb pressure cannot disengage the locked up safety.
So far I’ve replaced the thumb safety with an extended left side, still happens. I replaced the left detent spring 31 and it still happened and now I have replaced the left safety detent with a new one and will have to test fire.
Unusual thing is my spare S2 with CZC parts doesn’t lock up. Only the S2 with Cajun parts lock up. Maybe the adjustable sear???

What’s the way for max cap on the 19 mecgar and factory sticks?
The 17 rounders have a flat base pad and the 19 rounders have an extended base pad.
With the TF or Henning extended base pads I can easily load them to 22 rounds. 23 may fit if I force them but will try the Rune Tactical spring and follower and maybe get 24 in them.

This change to use muzzle velocity with radar units definitely makes the new mini radar units more attractive.
