  1. What is the maximum allowable (recommended) weight for a slide mounted optic on the Sig P322?
  2. My M&P 9 Compact is just a bit too long for the BUG box I drew. Height is OK though. So, the M&P Compact too is too long and the M&P Shield too tall to meet the IDPA's 2017 rule book BUG dimensions. S&W - no BUG-S for you.
  3. S&W specs the height of a M&P Shield 9 or 40 as 4.6 inches. 2017 IDPA rule book limits BUG height to 4.5 inches. I drew a rectangle the size of a BUG box with 2017 dimensions - my M&P Shield 9 will not fit even with the flush magazine given the 4.5 inch height constraint.
  4. From the rulebook: The rulebook is clear regarding what constitutes a Loaded Cylinder/Loaded Chamber Reload (also known as a Tactical Reload or Reload with Retention). The gun has to be loaded. If the standards stage description specifically called for this type reload and the shooter reloaded an empty gun, then the shooter did not perform the correct reload. A PE is appropriate despite the fact that reload performed provided no competitive advantage.
