  1. Good thread. What's important is to be aware of the location of Safe Areas and if it is not well marked or confusing bring it to the attention of the RM.
  2. I just received 3 CR Speed Mag pouches in the mail and was disappointed to find out they would not fit on my Tac Grip Belt. The belt is too thick and doesn't even come close to fitting through the opening in the mag pouch for the belt. Has anyone else had this problem? I like the thickness and rigidity of the Tac Grip belt and would not want to switch to the thinner belt. Clint
  3. So if you buy the Techwell, the grips are the only thing that is holding it to the gun? I am leaning toward the S&A since it is less cost and with the mainspring housing attached, more secure. Plus no milling or new grips. I am using the gun primarily for carry and occasional competition. I have the Dawson on my competition gun and like it. C.
  4. Agree. BTW I really like the new Front Site magazine format.
  5. Thanks, I'll add them to my existing props.
  6. I use snap caps as they aren't that expensive and it helps to dry fire with a magazine in the gun with close to the correct weight. Also with nothing in the chamber the gun stays in slide lock with any movement of the slide. That makes it harder to dry fire. I agree that both live fire and dry fire complement each other, you need both.
  7. I agree with most of the comments above. Also get there early and help set-up. Often the MD may not know it is an illegal stage. Pointing that out at set-up may help the match go better for everybody.
  8. Yep 10 rounds of .40 using Bayou 180 g., loaded to 1.180 fits fine. Only time I do that is when practicing due to USPSA rules. It's nice to have the 9th round in the mag I load before starting a stage.
  9. Ready Tactical (non DOH) for USPSA Single Stack division. Also Ready Tactical mag pouches all on a Tac-Grip belt. The best belt out there in my opinion.
  10. Thinking of doing the same. I'll be following this thread for suggestions. In this market it would probably be advisable to sell the Glock's sooner than later.
  11. Second that. I started out at 1.185 then shortened to 1.180. Much fewer feed issues. I am using the Tripp System mags. 10mm, 10 round mags that fit in USPSA Box.
  12. Sketchup is great. It works better with a mouse rather than using a touchpad. Knowing the shortcut keys makes things go much faster. Where is this warehouse of props that you speak of?
  13. I've been to matches where they use spray lacquer and that works great for keeping the targets from drooping. That stuff is expensive though. Any recommendations on how to save on buying lacquer?
