Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Fal - I use what I can get. It looks like power pistol keeps putting up good numbers!
  2. I really didn't have time to test for accuracy.
  3. Thought I would share some results. Custom 2011 9mm with a Kart Barrel. 65 degrees. All are 10 shot strings. CCI Small Pistol Magnum 147 SNS Coated bullet at 1.150 OAL Powder Charge Low High AVE ES SD PF WST 3.5 878.5 913.9 892.1 35.45 11.61 131.1 3.6 882.2 932.2 903.3 50.05 15.16 132.7 3.7 882.8 931 906.8 48.25 16.12 133.2 ZIP 3.4 893.4 922.6 911.9 29.24 7.81 134 3.5 900.1 915.2 908.1 15.05 5.09 133.4 Power Pistol 4.5 949.1 974.1 922.7 25.63 8.71 135.6 4.6 967.4 994.5 980.8 27.12 8.06 144.1 4.7 1013 1033 1024 20.42 7.48 150.5 Need to load 3.3 of Zip and see what happens
  4. Chrono'd my WST load in Alaska before leaving for Area 1. Single digit ES @ 50 degrees with a 130 PF. Chrono'd @Area 1 130 PF with not so good ES @90plus degrees. I did not experience any reverse temp sensitivity but it seems that WST likes it cool.
  5. I don't think you will find the caspian safety that appealing unless they have improved since they were introduced.
  6. Nice. I feel the same way with long guns. Maybe I should start working on right hand draws.
  7. Thanks for the link. Useful information. The comp I am using looks very similar to the one Matt C is using.
  8. I am also cross dominant and real confusing to watch in a three gun match because I shoot long guns right handed and pistol left handed. My strong hand. If I had the dexterity with my right hand I would shoot everything right handed. It's really up to you what your solution will be. I switched to right handed on long guns when I found myself looking at the side of the gun with my dominant eye. I would do what I could to shoot with both eyes open all of the time.
  9. That makes sense to me. I think I will leave it for now and consider side holes in the future.
  10. Like you Alec and I am cross dominant and hunch some as well. To me they are not related. During dry fire I work on keeping my posture vertical. One thing that helps is I turn my head slightly to the left; I am right eye dominant. Thanks for sharing.
  11. This pic is an as new comp. I have already removed the last vertical side port on comp to be used on the gun. I am thinking about removing material between 2 of the chambers.
  12. Currently building first open gun (9mm) using an EGW 5 chamber comp. I have turned off the last two holes and was thinking about removing the material between the first and second chamber (closest to the slide) creating a larger chamber like on an Akai. Has anyone tried this or have a recommendation?
