  1. I remember changing from a Ernie Hill LE holster to the 008, in the appendix position, that's where the Burner's was, I though I had died and gone to heaven, could do .75 to .85 draws all day long, course I was 20yrs old then... lucky to do a 1.00 flat with a limcat 18 years later
  2. Anyone know who makes a Ti Glock comp(major loads) for a KKM threaded bbl in 9mm. Thanks in advance, Doug
  3. Congrats Keith, great looking gun.... So what did you do with your old gun? Doug
  4. If you dont mind the frame modification and lowering the ejection port, SJC mount is only way to go for a cmore IMHO. Doug my bad, didn't see what scope you had, nevermind, but if you got a c-more, see above
  5. Uh, how large, and what state do you live? I'm sure the chances are good that there is a benos member near you who might take it off your hands. I live in Oregon and I have 120lbs left that arent spoken for, 24lb lots, $18 a pound. Thanks, Doug
  6. Thanks for all the replies, i have a large quantity of the stuff that I want to unload but I just found out you have to be a company that makes and ships powder to ship powder, at least that is what one person told me.... darn.
  7. Just curious what the interest would be if SP2 could be had in large quantities, how much would it take for someone to switch back to it for a while. Thanks, Doug
  8. Maybe just me but isnt it kinda funny the words right above the picture on STI's website is "The Continuing Evolution of the 1911" I laughed, Doug
  9. I built one up using SJC parts and a KKM drop in barrel, 11lb ismi spring, tungsten guide rod, that aluminum comp is just too light out there and a Vanek Trigger. I was amazed at how the thing runs and how it keeps up with the 1911's, when it's shot properly, couldn't stay away from those white guys Doug
  10. This isn't really convincing one way or the other to me and I just ordered two of them Doug
  11. I know the same guy and I shoot a 12moa just like him
  12. yea, but I signed the transfer form, waiving insurance, and they asked me verbally if I was waiving insurance, dunno.
  13. Found out some further, looked up on UPS website, punched in the numbers for overnight shipping from Fillmore to Salem OR. There were two options, next day air, delivery by 0830hrs. for $86. Then there was next day air, delivery by 1030hrs. $50. I don't understand why they would have picked the most expensive next day air option when the cheaper one would have been just as good, as it was my Dealer wasn't able to receive the package and it was delivered a day later. I just don't get it, if Keep It In The Ten Ring wasnt making any money on the shipping, why pick the higher shipping rate and screw us. Doug PS. Heeellllllooooo Mark
  14. Grettings all, just wanted to ask if others were having similar experience: Won two guns at the Steel Challenge, thank god one was a Certificate. Paid the $35 at the match to transfer my the Browning Buckmark from Keep It in the Ten Ring in Fillmore to Salem Oregon, FFL Dealer. Got a call from a gal on Friday who asked if I wanted to give CC for shipping charges or just do COD, learned my lesson the COD charges and gave her CC. She asked if I wanted call back with amount and I advised if it's like $20 dont worry about it and she advised yea, gonna be right about there, no problem. Look at online banking today, $86.00, after I got up off floor called Keep It In The Ten Ring and they advised, yup that is what UPS is charging now, something about an $11.00 surcharge for fuel or something. He said this is what they actually charged them, no additional Keep It In The Ten Ring fees. This is absolutely ridiculous, I would have taken the $125 someone offered to me in the prize room if I would have know that. Anyway, just wondering if similar is happening to others. Doug
  15. Only three more sleeps Pin Shooter, Doug
  16. If someone could point me in the right direction, I am looking for a trailer hitch plug that has a USPSA Target on it. I have seen them, usually made of thick metal and have the target lines etched in them with two in the A and one in the upper A. I can't remember who makes them or where I have seen them. Thanks in advance for the help.
  17. Greetings, have a question to ask you folks. How many people are using 9mm in KKM .355 barrels? The reason I ask is this. about two years ago I ordered a .355 KKM barrel, they are short chambered(im sure you new this) and at the time didn't know what I was ultimately going to chamber it for. Ultimately decided on 9mm for major IPSC gun, had it fit up, reamed and waalaa, it works like a dream. Fast forward to now, ordered the same .355 barrel from them, tell them I am going to be chambering it in 9mm, and they say, no problem and send me one. Send it to gunsmith and he goes to chamber it for 9mm and find out that it was initiially short chambered for .38super length. so now there are two steps in the chamber a very faint one at 9mm depth and a very pronounced one at 38 super depth. The barrel is sent back to KKM from gunsmith who later calls me and tells me they don't make barrels with short chambers short enough for 9mm. I Call KKM and talk to Kevin, while I am holding my orignal barrel in my hand, chambered in 9mm, he tells me that they don't make a barrel intended for 9mm, but they have done special runs before, the reason they dont make short chambered 9mm barrels is because no one shoots them and if they had 10 in stock, it would take years to sell them because nobody uses 9mm major, there is no benefit to them because you only get to use the brass once and since the PF went to 150, yes he said 150, theres no need and just because Latham and Koenig and those jokers shoot them doesnt mean anyone else is going to follow blah blah blah blah..... Frustration set in and I terminated the phone conversation. I have shot 2 Bedell guns with KKM barrels in them in 9mm and a few more other guns with kkm barrels in 9mm. These all can't be from the special run they made a few years ago. anyway, just thought I would ask, thanks. Doug
  18. I agree with Warpspeed, that was extremely cool...the shooter who received it appeared very touched by the gesture...
  19. Monster - saw your frame and slide fit the other day, very nice and very tight - the slide to frame fit that is
  20. If I was a scientific person I would have a really good answer for you, but I am not, i started with and 11 and went down until I got to where it felt good and the brass wasint impaling into the side of my house 30 ft away Seriously, I got less muzzle flip and less rearword felt recoil from the slide with the 9lb.
  21. thats what the holes in the front are for, prefer using them, plus...different.
  22. Just got my new Limited gun for this Season from Brian at Experimental Machining / Hawley Custom. Beautiful work, still in white, once I saw it done, wouldn't let him send it off to the hard chromers. STI slide and Frame Slide sides have been taken down to the depth of the rear serrations Tri top slide Lightening holes in the slide(i think the barrel weighs more than the slide does) Bo mar rear / Universal Shooting Academy front sight Bar-sto barrel with Brian's tungsten sleeve Just under 2.b trigger, nice and crisp Beavertail blended everywhere 9lb(nine) ismi recoil spring Turn around time, just shy of three weeks...THAT's WEEKS folks. Group in pictures was shot at 25 yds off hand. HIGHLEY RECOMMEND AGAIN AND AGAIN(Third gun Brian has built for me) If anyone has any questions email me at dnuke146@centurytel.net or Brian at brian@experimentalmachining.com
  23. I am the friend BrianH is referring too. I understand problems come up, personal situations and such, but to take an order over the phone, charge the credit card, almost two months ago, and not to be heard from since.....In Oregon it's considered Theft I and it's a C felony. I state this after two weeks of making phone calls, leaving messages, calling on a disconnected cell phone, unreturned emails and calling Montana Gold Bullets directily to see if they had received the order and had not dropped shipped it yet, which they had not received the order either. They had their own interesting things to say about Leck's as well, but I will not go into it. Doug
