The savings is maybe $30 a 1000.
So a pistol cost 3000. So you need to shoot 100,000 rounds of 9mm to break even on ammo cost. No so good of an idea when you only shoot 15000 a year.
What about every shooter with a .40 limited gun. We would all have to build 9mm limited guns to stay competitive. I sure don't like the thought of throughing my $3000 limited gun in the trash and build another 3000 limited gun to stay competitive.
Allowing sight trackers and thumb rest is not a big change. I don't feel like I am not competitive because I don't have a sight tracker, but when someone has 4 more rounds than me I do.

No, apparently it maybe something that could possibly be brought up by the BoD
of course just like a 3lbtrigger in production this would be without any input from the members and look how they great idea turned out. Just like this would turn out.
If they do it in Limted, then they would have to go ahead in do it in Limted 10 and Single Stack, so why not while they are at it just get rid of major scoring all together, hell it will be cheaper for everyone. We can just make it all about capacity and get rid of power and accuracy all together.
Me neither but the 9mm would be free after a season of ammo cost savings. The more you shoot the more free it is. My wife taught me that math. It works great on purse sales too.
You are gonna build a 9mm eventually anyways as 3 gun is taking over. Everyone is doing it.

70% weak hand and 30% strong hand.
This drives me nuts. I have small hands and have tried the 70/30 thing and I just can't get enough surface area to get the 70% weak hand. I think I am more around 60% strong hand and 40% weak hand. The weak hand just can't wrap around the strong hand with adequate clamping force. I am not a Master yet, but am starting to shoot master percentage classifiers. Should I I try to change my grip, or just role with it?

I should rephrase my question. Is there a good shot clock for android. I have tried them and you can only adjust par times by one second intervals, which sucks for dry fire.

I've been using the IPSC shot timer from Ivan Stoliarov and I like it. I use it mainly for dry fire and if you calibrate it correctly it will pick up the firing pin strike.
The par time on that apparently is only adjustable in one second intervals. Does that work for you?

Does anyone know about a shot timer that works for android. I do not have the money for a $100 shot timer. I had a IPhone and the surefire shot clock was great.

I'm looking to flip the schedule arouns so as not to go back to back with Tri-State. I'm looking at Second Sunday USPSA and 4th Sunday Carbine only or Carbine/pistol multi gun. Thoughts?

Nothing in this area second sunday. IDPA matches at Tristate and South River on fourth Sunday. Second sunday pistol would prevent back to back pistol. Third saturday's are Tristate uspsa, ancient city uspsa, EAGC rimfire, and Glock style at TRPC. Second Saturday are low round count events eagc idpa, sepsa uspsa and trpc steel.
Actually Tri State USPSA is the 4th Sat., I would like to see the Blakely USPSA match on the 2nd Sunday so it won't be back to back with Ti States match.
I would also like to see it on the secound Sunday. Two matches in a weekend will be hard to get a full car load of guys to go two days in a row from Tallahassee.

I know I do not have a rifle to shoot at the moment and that would prohibit me from shooting the match. I know a couple other guys that also don't have rifles comming from Tallahassee.
I would rather you do a pistol only match, and then a rifle only match the second weekend of the month. That would give me the opportunity to shoot a full pistol match and maybe barrow a buddys rifle for the secound weekend. I also know a ton of guys that do not want to shoot a pistol match but want to shoot a carbine match. They would be more apt to come up for a rifle only match.

Im in for USPSA matches. I think you will get 5-10 shooters from Tallahassee consistently, and maybe more. Most of us can RO. Please do not put it on the first Saturday because that is our local match.
That sounds like a great range, and I cant wait to shoot it in February.

Its a STI frame and slide, the rest of the parts are SV the Freedom Gunworks way! It comes in at only 38 ounces with a steel grip!
It will be DLC coated with a Tin barrel. It will also run on STI mags.

I would say go with Bobby at Freedom Gunworks. He can put a SV grip on it if you want one. When you buy a Edge and do all that its going to be the same price as a custom. Or you can buy a used edge with the finish worn off for a good price.

I just asked the same question. I just ordered a Gen 4, but do not have a Gen 3 to compare it to. My buddy has one and I will try to get a hold of it and get a definative answer.

I have purchased 8 factory mags, I instintley replace the follower to a Dawson and the base pad to a Dawson snl. They all hold a tight 20 rounds and run 100%. They all ran good in 2 edges and a custom 2011.

I relieve the frame and grip safety on my 1911/2011's to get the high grip I prefer. I have not found a grip safety that allows me to just drop in and feel good. I also mate the top of the grip safety to the frame so its flush but that's just cosmetic.
I like that idea, and have herd about it before. Do you refinish your gun after you do it? What do you do it with, file, sandpaper?
