Sarge do you know how the new CK E2 compares to the PT EVO
I have both. The PT grip is a bit more aggressive in texture but pretty nice. The Cheely grip is a bit less aggressive, but to my smaller sized hands feels a bit smaller in size, They both feel good while shooting. The PT EVO came on a new gun but I ordered the E2 from Matt and put it on an open gun with a PY frame. The E2 comes with magwell, mag release, mainspring housing and grip safety that does not require pinning. I like them both, but I am a mediocre shooter and am not running at top speed.

We are still in the infant stages, and I personally really liked the Mississippi Classic, and am so happy it is returning.

Biloxi, now Deep South Shooters Association has no plans for any major matches. We will do whatever we are able to support Magnolia if they wish to host a MS Section championship.

This was always one of the best, if not the best matches in the MS, LA and AL three state area. I am so glad it is back. Thanks guys and gals at Magnolia.

I have a .38SC shorty and shoot MG HP at 1.240 with a 9 pound spring.

Had a great time, enjoyed great shooters and staff and shot fair. Stage 4 was a killer. I've never been so happy to get off a stage with a HF of 1.5172 after I saw way better shooters than I am zero the stage. This is always my favorite match of the year.

Stevie Ray Vaughan, Live at the El Mocambo.

I have an older SV frame and grip, and I run STI and MBX mags with no issues.

In the court of the Crimson King by, who else, King Crimson. Favorite track is 21st Century Schizoid Man, of course.

I size and de-prime with a standard Lee sizing die, and then run through a U die for both 38 Super and 38 super comp. I found that with picked up range brass, it works better to size it in steps. when just using the U die to size there were a lot of case gauge failures, and sometimes a small ridge formed just above the extractor groove. Using two sizing dies results in at least 75% less failures. And considering the cost of Super and Super comp brass...

1/16" drill bit to drill the hole(no drill press, just a vice) at slow speed. I use a paneling nail for a pin, and cut it off to fit. I have done six or so for myself and a couple for friends.

I usually put a towel over my hands. I once slipped and stuck the plug into the ceiling. LOL.

That appears to be a very "old school" single Colt open gun. There is no telling how many "gazillion" rounds have been fire through it. Other members have already mentioned most of the things to check for. Or to be sure, bring it to a "real" 1911 'smith. It'll cost you some money, but you should be able to trust your gun.

Ha! I've been a Saints fan since the 60's. Saw my first game in Tulane stadium 2006 through 2013 were a little better, but...
