  1. It looks like I am the only one with a sense of humor... If I could have one Glock... G18 BABY!!
  2. Does anyone know when the Gen4 34 will be production legal?
  3. Hand-me-downs, means new gear for me! Glock 34 or Springfield XDm 9mm 5.25
  4. Looks like it is settled then, submitting the order for 5 CR Mag Pouches now. (I love ordering new toys this time of year. What ever I didn't get for Christmas, I get myself for New Years)
  5. I don't care about the gear, how did you get your gf to start shooting competitions?
  6. I ordered my SC bag the day after Christmas, surprisingly, it shipped a couple of hours later. I can't wait for it to get here so I can use a range bag that doesn't have holes in it...I am getting all cheery just thinking about it, a round for everyone on me!!
  7. Doesn't anyone use stainless media in an actual tumbler with water and soap? I read about that, did some diggin around, thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, no more dust!
  8. It's too bad, was going to order it, but everyone quit carrying it and the company seems to have disappeared.
  9. I likewise have recently begun wearing toric lenses. the first brand I was fitted in were a total nightmare causing all types of eye irritation problems. The second brand were no better. I have just recently begun wearing the accuvu oasis toric lenses and there is a difference between night and day. Just saying that sometimes you may need to work with your eye doctor to work out the little issues. I use my contacts for shooting and hunting and they make it realy easy when using optics or trying to get a full field of view I also use them for shooting, but I also use them for firefighting, just make sure you blink about twice as much as you normally would, especially on a dry day. I also carry eye drops in my range bag, like almost everyone else.
  10. Just my two cents... I use accuview oasis torics and haven't ever had problems with them... Just takes a minute for the lenses to turn so that they line up correctly.
  11. You have to add the gadget "useful links", then from there you search for Brian Enos, and you will find the two links. Sorry Greg, posted then saw that you had just before me.
  12. Is it contagious? I am still trying to scrape the funds together for my first 650, plus build up my arsenal...all I got is my G17 and S&W M&P 15-22. Trying to get shooting money out of my paycheck is like
  13. I thought the election was in November The real spreading starts after they are elected. I am having to work 30-40 hours overtime over the next two weeks while a certain president goes around selling his jobs bill.
  14. Sucks that it is during my busiest time of year as a fertilizer applicator. I will have to beg and plead with my boss to see if he will let me go.
  15. In our ambulance, we do carry duct tape and crazy glue. Crazy glue is awesome for a small cut (for us, the responders) and I have had to use duct tape to secure a patient to a stretcher because the straps were too short. It may sound harsh, but you gotta do what you gotta do when there is only two of you and one is in the driver seat going 115 down the freeway to the hospital while the patient is coding in the back. What I carry in my range bag is similar to this: AMP-3, but in my car, I carry a lot more. I will second what everyone seems to be saying though...the best kit in the world won't work unless you know how to use it, know what you are doing and prevention is the best medicine.
  16. My uncle doesn't understand why I don't like it when he points his "unloaded" gun in my general direction either. "But it's unloaded" "So...your point being? It's still a DQ."
  17. Spanky, is there a dedicated spot to keep your pistol(s), or do you put it in something along the lines of a CED pistol sleeve, and put that in the bag? Or better yet, does it come with a pistol sleeve?
  18. Wonder what happens if you wash it in hot water?
  19. I have seen the video of the ND, and the only problem with that argument is that he was using a 5.11 Thumbdrive Holster, not a Blackhawk Serpa. He explained in the video that he had disengaged the thumb safety instead of the retention, and when he went to pull his pistol out of the holster, he was met with resistance, and he instinctually tried to also grab with his trigger finger, causing the ND. I know that they are both active retention, and that there are people who don't like either of them. I do like my SERPA, because it works for me. I have not had any problems with it, as I have used it for USPSA Production for a little over a year and continue to do so today. To each his own, as long as you do it safely. There have been ND's and AD's with ALL types of holsters...so just keep the finger off the trigger, and it shouldn't happen.
  20. I use a Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe with the combat cut for my Glock 19, and I couldn't be happier.
  21. Nice setup Striker, and I feel that there should be a "Kenny" in every reloading room as a safety precaution...keeps the Grim Reaper occupied. firefighter0110
