Hi all. I’m new to this forum, but I wanted to share that I just got a 92 Elite 2 last week and have had a chance to shoot it once. It was great! I really enjoyed. I enjoyed the shooting much more than with my Glock 17. I just prefer the additional weight, the grip, and pointability of the Beretta.
One question, at the range I noticed that the barrel is aligned further to the left of the slide, rather than center. So, when you look down the barrel there is more space between the barrel and slide on the right side than on the left side. This can be seen by looking at the muzzle end as well. After shooting I noticed that the left side of the top of the barrel was “shiny” as if scratched, but the right side was not.
I called BUSA twice and got 2 different answers – one girl who seemed more knowledgeable said that is normal, the other girl felt that I had a problem.
Do any armorers or gunsmiths no the real scoop? If that alignment is good (and I hope it is) should I aim right of my target?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
