Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Looks to be a grip screw change from DW on the DWX at some point. I ordered LOK grips, and the "DWX Screws". The grips are same as Shadow 2/TSO/etc as most know. The Shadow 2 screws that come with the grips fit the DWX and my TSO. The "DWX Screws" from LOK are too large dia and do not fit the DWX or the TSO. They are same size as 1911 grip screws and the screws thread into my 1911's fully. TSO Screws fit the DWX and factory DWX screws fit the TSO. Might be a new change, not sure. I'll let LOK know.
  2. The factory TSO magwell works with stock DWX and Henning base pads. I did a short range firing before sending the slide off for machining. The Rear of the Henning is real close to hitting the magwell but seats fine. I will likely file a small notch for a little relief where the Henning release pin is. CZ Parts sells the factory magwell but expensive ($110) and in EU so not sure how long/how much shipping would be. Armory Craft looks close to being same profile but unsure.
  3. So I also tried the CZC springs and followers with same issue. Picked up the Grams and zero issues. Grams' package says their springs need zero tuning. That be true. If CZC springs are so problematic, why don't they tune them or offer directions on how to tune? As far as I can tell, there is only one mag for the TSO 40 so tuning be easily done by the spring/follower manufacture. Anyhow, for TSO owners this is the fix IMO. I don't have spare primers, bullets, or range to use to work out tuning three mags so they run during a match. That is BS, especially now with the primer shortage and cost of factory ammo.
  4. I prevoisly posted that my new TSO 40 came with mag well blended from factory. It also came with two Czechmate spare slide stop pins. Regular slide stop came in the gun. Good thing as I cannot find a TSO or Czechmate slide stop pin in stock anywhere other than Canada and neither place ships to US, go figure. Double AA does ship from Canada.... Anyway, also came with springs, buffers, and spare extractor. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zhkxxqaaw7n10t8/20211031_165624.jpg?dl=0
  5. Long time member, I usually read up and find what I need so not much posting but thought this was of interest. New in box CZ TSO 40 has blended frame to mag well. I've seen the pics of early TSO and the grinding people do to blend it to the frame. Looks like CZ listened. Weight is 47 oz with empty mag and everything else appears to be the same. https://www.dropbox.com/s/h9t193inuxplrj3/2021-10-22 15.02.18.jpg?dl=0
  6. sign up for a fedex account and you have the delivery window set up for a two hour window, cost $5 but worth it sometimes for large or signature required items.
  7. I have tightgroup and have N320 coming in next week. Will try both and see which I prefer. Fellow shooters that us the same 929 gun, run 3.0 N320. Need to verify the TG load I will be starting with so I removed that from this post and updated the N320 number
  8. A few of my friends shoot the 625, the 929, and GP100 MC. The 625's have been sent back for warranty work as have the 929's so I've seen issues both ways. The MC guns, I own one, have been 100% from what I seen. That being said, the MC have no place in USPSA since you would be competing against 6 shot moon clip MAJOR (625) and eight shot moon clipped Minor guns with your speed loading six shot. USPSA has nothing for the minor six shot to be competitive, you give up way to much in USPSA with that type of gun. IDPA is best for the six shot speed loader as moon clipped guns have to make major PF. I just picked up a 929 for USPSA and it shoots great, smooth but heavy stock trigger, accurate, easy to shoot. The one thing that bothers me is that the compositor that comes on the gun is not USPSA legal so it has to come off and most say is fouls up the end of the barrel and affects accuracy anyway so it's coming off. I'd be interested in a 627 if it was moon clipped but since I shot the 929, the reloads are so much faster with moon clips than speed loaders. That alone would pull me to the 929.
  9. I have a 650 press and load 45acp and .223. I just got the conversion pieces to start loading my 357 with .38sp and .357 brass. Question is, is there a quick way to switch from .38sp to .357 without resetting the dies? My old single stage RCBS had lock rings and a spacer and you put in the spacer for .357 (which raised the die up for the extra case length) and removed it for .38sp. Two minutes tops to switch. You would set the dies up originally for .38sp and put in spacer for .357. Anything like that or will I have to switch out each time? I plan on loading in incriments with the 650 for both rounds and don't want to switch out everytime I try a new load. IF I had enough .357 brass, I'd load both rounds in that brass but I have about a 50/50 mix of both lengths. Thanks, Kevin
