Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I just read your post. Makes me feel better someone else feels sad about their pals. I'm not alone. The morning I was leaving for the WI sectional a couple weeks ago to shoot and RO I made the decision to end my furry buddy's suffering. I was in the middle of packing my gun bag and suitcase and I couldn't ignore the fact the time had come. To say it was the worst match I had shot would be an understatement! And it was my birthday. But, it was good to be with friends for two days.
  2. As I said on Sunday, I wasn't aware of the costume contest, I overslept and just wore what I woke up in! I am truly sorry for taking the gun away from Jake! I'm sure those competitors that arrived on my stage were quite confused when I read the stage briefing! On another note, I cannot say enough of how much fun this match was to shoot and work. And, my stage was a killer both for the shooter's and the staff. We had reshoots that put us behind but Aron and Jake brought me the best help in the world. Barry Martens stood out in the sun working for us and the guys were setting that Texas Star and watching that steel and we worked through lunch and made up over an hour and a half to get those shooters through. Also, this was the first match that I worked that I as staff was treated to a dedicated RO and score keeper on staff day. What a treat that was and I thank all of those that shot and bullet proofed those stages the day before so those of us working could experience a match like a competitor!
  3. Why do I think 'she' is going to look a little rough?! Haha! No I will try not to look rough!! But I might have a run for my money against any guys enjoying Lilly's lingerie!!! Made it to the hotel. I must say Jake and Aaron you really know how to treat staff! I know this isn't what you planned but it's a damn site nicer than the condemned hotel we got to stay in when we worked the MI sectional last year! Swear to god our sliding glass door was duct taped on! Can't wait to see everyone! Old and new friends!
  4. You guys deserve a great thank you for all the behind the scenes work. We will be taking off tomorrow and heading down. Lilly Von Stupp will be there! Although no high heels!
  5. I talked to Chuck a while ago and he said that the staff is not squadded and not to worry we would figure that out on Saturday. I'm guessing competitors will just fit themselves in like usual.
  6. Finally home and showered! Thank you to all the shooters that came through Stage 2 and were great at helping us RO's keep moving your squad through. It was a HOT weekend and we all felt like we were at the Brick Yard being on those stone bays in the sun for three days! Not to mention all of those that spent days setting up in that heat. A big Kudos for all those involved...from those that I saw everyday feeding us food to those two beautiful girls on the four wheeler always making sure our score sheets were picked up, pasters were delivered, paint cans sent down, and the coolers were stocked. A big sorry to Perry if you were bothered today because I gave your phone number to help on a major almost arb but that turned out well. Jake and Aaron great job and I'm glad I didn't run Aaron today as I did in Area 5! It was wonderful seeing all of the great shooters again and meeting wonderful new people. I think I lost 10 pounds in water over the weekend which saved me from using the port o' john!
