  1. This was one of the most fun weekends I spent last year. Looking forward to this year!
  2. I thought it added a whole new level of fun to the match. Of course I think our squad was probably taking advantage of the opportunity and utilizing it more like 80% heckling to 20% coaching ratio.
  3. Ask Hadley at Crucible Armament how that worked out for him and a few other recently...I personally watched his shoot the wad out from a squib.
  4. I wouldn't be so sure it's user induced. I had the exact same problem. I fought it for months, tried other lifters, every ammo you could imagine. No rhyme or reason to it when or if it would lock up. I, and others, threw everything but the kitchen sink at it. I took trigger groups out of 3 different 1301's, and it ran flawlessly with all of them. Now ironically, those other guns ran fine with my trigger group installed too. If you know someone else with a 1301, try their TG and see if you can get it to replicate. Weirdest ghost I ever chased and still really don't understand. I ended up purchasing an entire new trigger group and that resolved it once and for all.
  5. This is why I love you Denise...and natural terrain matches. It's fitting b/c my stage plans normally consist of me having a general idea of what I'm going to do!
  6. So I now have a 3rd "Never miss" match on my list. Incredible match. The stages, staff, administration and venue were all mind blowing. Words can't describe the experience, so just do yourself a favor and sign up for the 2017 match! Edited to add: I guess if there was one piece of constructive criticism, it was almost 9 a.m. on Saturday until someone brought me my first popsicle of the day. Just sayin'
  7. Exactly, like if you were reminded you lost the match last year by 1 dropped shot. And yes, I got a text today reminding me of that...
  8. Didn't mean it that way. I simply meant there was some healthy discussion among teams that certain team members could use some practice!!
  9. Based on some of the, um, let's call them "discussions" I heard last year, there's likely some folks that would encourage a team member to do that for the practice! (I know I would have gotten volunteered last year by my other two!)
  10. Unfortunately I earned my first DQ ever and didn't get to finish the match which is unfortunate because you guys put a great match on the ground. I say earned a DQ, b/c I had to work for it...no traps, no shenanigans, no carnival, just a straight up challenge, and I straight up blew it. Thanks for the opportunity at a great match on an amazing venue Damon. John and your RO's are top notch staff and absolute professionals. See ya next year.
  11. I wish we were Steve, but I have a date with some Western brown trout and a fly rod instead..
  12. What about shooting? At difficult targets, from compromised positions? You ok with this too? That one's kind of a given isn't it??
  13. I really enjoyed the field of slugs with the boxes from 2014 up behind the sporting clay range. I'll think of more, but I just remember that one b/c the whole time thinking how fun that was....and oh crap, I really do have to have an actual plan...and a contingency... and count too... Mix in a little pistol option on the long gongs and weapons transition options with that and hmmmm. And what about the area past the saber range? I think it was stage 4 in 2011 that Scott ran with the great big wall/barricade? I recall that one being pretty dang fun too. If that area is still a viable option, I would think there's quite a few options back there. It had a mix of hose on the way and technical. Good way to work the throttle
  14. Tac Non magnified not limited is just that. Iron sights or dot/ illuminated no magnification is considered the same. It will be one division. Awesome & thank you.
  15. Damon, will you continue to separate irons and 1x optics or will you just be running one combined limited division?
  16. I look forward to coming back to Woody's. It's a great venue and I'm excited about this match.
  17. I know we shot 3 rounds of pistol from 75...b/c I shot them at my rifle target LOL
  18. Andy outdid himself this year. What a match! This was my 5th BRM3G and reminds me why if there were only one match a year I could go to why it would be this one! Huge thanks to all the RO's and staff, this is a challenging match to shoot, but it's even tougher to run some of those stages 200 times after you set them up and shot 'em yourself. Thanks to all the generous sponsors, especially Vortex Optics for my new addition. I don't know which quote was better after I shot Stage 1 and jumped out of the loft beside the ladder: RO: "Dude, you scared the crap out of me, I seriously thought you fell" Squad mate: "Soooo, did you actually just sling your rifle while you were in the air?" "Yes, yes I did..." If the 2016 match was tomorrow, I'd be packing the truck right now!!
  19. You should really only do that under RM supervision...I think I know a guy that can help out!
  20. This was my first time at RM3G and all I can say is WOW! Incredible venue, amazing planning & coordination and a TOP notch staff. Sponsors were generous, thank you to each and every one of them. Huge thanks to JP, JJ and certainly Denise. This was an experience I'll never forget...and hopefully never miss again!
