  1. Another question I just thought about. If I wanted to shoot a carbine competition. Would the scr-11 be allowed because its a race gun? Not sure about the rules on this type competition. The same goes for the Psc-11 would it not be allowed or would it be ok...?

    I think most of us thought you were wanting to shoot Multi gun. When you say carbine matches what are you referring to ? In most cases if it was allowed to shoot and Ar -15 the SCR -11 would be allowed. Unless it is some unusual rule at a local match.

  2. Thats what I was thinking. Even people who dont have JP rifles buy their hand guards.... quick question for you rep70. What made you decide to buy the scr-11 rather than the psc-11? Other then the lower/ lower mag well their pretty similar and the psc is around 400 cheaper...?

    I just liked the looks of the SCR -11 like you said not a huge difference other than aesthetics. It was a rifle I wanted for awhile so decided to get it just the way I wanted. You would be good to go with either one.

  3. Im not sure exactly He just saw me looking at it and said that if I was set on the jp rifle that I should get rails to keep my hand cooler... Im assuming he was shooting quite a bit considering i havent seen anyone else say that... And Blu46 thanks but I really want the side charging handle so im looking at the PSC-11 or SCR-11

    I see a lot of JP hand guards, in 3 gun. Most of the guys shoot them a lot more than the average gun shop guy behind the counter. I wouldn't worry about using the JP hand guard. I love my SCR -11 great rifle.

  4. I went to one Of the local shops that sells JP rifles and the guy behind the counter said he hated the hand guard on them and claimed they got too hot... ? anyone confirm or deny...? Is this one of the reasons that some choose to not use the heat sink?

    Have shot mine with and without heat sink. Not worth the extra weight in my opinion. As far as the hand guard getting to hot I have never had a problem with that. Is the guy behind the counter doing mag dumps ?

  5. I have the Mascots from Repcon NW, wore them at FB3G I won't be wearing anything else from now on.. I am even looking at their shorts for Pistol Matches. The customer service from Bryan at Repcon NW was outstanding.

  6. Picked up a 24" M2 today. My list consists of a +6 Nordic tube and bbl clamp. Arrendondo bolt release button. I need the ramp mod done (not sure what the best place is) and everything else to have the most tricked out M2 I can have for 3 gun. So, you suggest it and I'll consider it. I'm not going to compete with this thing until after the snow melts, so I have some time to get it done. Give me a hand and I'll be your best friend forever.

    I would recomend Accurate Iron, love my shotgun. I had him build 2, plan to do more in the future.I have more pictures, of the detail work. I have posted them in the forums, but would be glad to post again.

  7. You have a slim-head? Who would've thunk it? :roflol::sight:

    Here is my Boggest problem with Rudy's and why I'm going towards Oakleys

    I can't try Rudy's on first. I have a slim style face/head and I have to try on glasses before I buy. Rudy's are just pick one and hope they fit. There is no where local to try the different ones on. And I'm not going to spend $200 and hope something fits. Oakleys are ANSI z87.1 so that's good enough for me

    For bright sunny I like the g 26 in both my Radar and Mframe I also will sometimes use Ice Blue iridium

    Overcast the VR 28 is hard to beat

    Indoor lowlight clears

    Another nice option on slightly overcast days are the VR 28 with blue iridium coating

  8. I have to give Mike at Accurate Iron a plug. I had him do two M2 for me. One for a friend, and one for myself. They have both ran flawless with everything I put through them. The work was second to none. I think any of the guys mentioned would build you a good shotgun, but I can happly recommend Mike and his work. Any I have done in the future will go to him. I included some pictures of mine.
