  1. Thanks ... I think you are right...On closer inspection I see the threads are only in the slide.. the bottom of the base is very thin. I also think it was locktighted. It should come off with the right tools.. thanks all for the help
  2. emailed Hienie..his reply says no .. maybe in the future. So..I ordered a Wilson from BE. Now I have one important question. I took the leaf off and was about to drift the base off when I noticed what appears to be a threaded insert that goes all the way through the slide. I can see the firinging pin. Anyone know if this is true or am I just seeing threads all the way down and some where in there is a joint betwene the base and slide ? I lightly tapped the base ... didn't seem to move. I don't want to wail on it if that is an insert. I need input from someone who has removed one of these puppies. Do I wail on the base or screw the aduster back in and try to pull the insert out ... or do I need to drill it out ?
  3. Thanks for the info....One more question for those that have " been there and done that before". Does anyone make a decent fixed rear sight that would fit the STI/Bomar cut ?
  4. I just picked up an STI Edge and would like to experiment with the rear sight width. Are these blades easily replaced? Could a Wilson blade be used ? If the answer to the above is no. Will the Wilson adjustable fit without any slide mods ?
