Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Dates don't affect us, we are giving up Nationals for this match... See you in Nov.
  2. From someone that lived in AK where wild game is a very real danger, that was the gun my husband carried.
  3. Proud mom of a pretty cool kid.... www.shootingwire.com/features/224999
  4. I have 2 juniors, 16 and 11. Both shoot. They started when they were 14 and 9. They compete with the adults. My younger son shoots single stack in minor and as long as he shoots A's, he is scored the same as the major power factors. I think it's important to score them along side of everyone else that is the rules. He is is not a kid when he steps to the line but a shooter and competitor.
  5. I find this thread interesting, and can certainly see both sides. My 11 y/o is a disabled shooter. He has had more than 10 hand reconstructive surgorys. When he first started, he started in lim 10, minor. He is now completely legal in SS. No concessions had to made other than an occassional step because he is too short to see out of some ports. I think there is a place for all shooters. Just look at Trevor, the Smith shooter that is in a wheelchair. He shoots Bianci, as it is non-moving competition. If he can do it, anyone can.
  6. Flight is booked, application is in the mail....And here is the clicker... Not only is Cliff going to look out for Jesse, he is actually his guardian for the entire match!! Baaa ha ha ha, for Cliff it will be like having a son without the bills!!
  7. That's good news Jesse! I'm looking forward to meeting you. You should not be left unattended with Cliff. Craig Flight is booked, application is in the mail....And here is the clicker... Not only is Cliff going to look out for Jesse, he is actually his guardian for the entire match!! Baaa ha ha ha, for Cliff it will be like having a son without the bills
  8. Ha ha ha ha Jesse is 16, shooting USPSA at the moment, and I was going to put him with Cliff W, but I had to reconsider that. I would say prep for Bubber but there is no preparation for that. When I went for the first time, the Arizona Wild Bunch (RIP) told me to emphasize the Far and Near Standards as they cover most of the skills you would need anyway and that it had a huge impact on your score. Do your parents know that Bubber will be there? They are still letting you go? Every match I go to now seems to have a dual hallway that forces you to shoot in retreat to shoot it optimally. That can be a DQ trap if you haven't done it much. How old are you? There is a young lady junior shooter named Rian Edington that can show you how to shoot a Polish plate rack if they have one that will be there. Hope it won't bother you being beaten by a girl. Her momma has been whupping up on me for years. As Bubber said, have fun. The IRC is a great experience. Bubber is...an expeience. Don't EVER ask him why he is "grinnin"
  9. This is a great cause to help those that give more than just time for this Country. Thank you all.
  10. It was a great day, thanks everyone for looking after Jesse. You don't know what you don't know until you put 12 Revo guys together at a local match. Then you find out what you don't know. He talked my ear off all the way home..... Quality bonding time, at least you were not bailing him out on New Year's day Well.. I love my boys but if I ever get that call they better call Uncle John Z, or Uncle Cliff, because they already know I am not coming to bail either of them out....
