  1. The falling plate "prone" discrepancy will be corrected in the future CMP rules book. https://thecmp.org/cmp-green-valley-rifle-pistol-club-set-to-host-bianchi-cup-action-shooting-competition-in-2023/comment-page-1/#comment-63993
  2. Toolguy Is there or has there been a separate category for revolvers at the Bianchi? Don't care because I'm a 100% revolver guy anyway.
  3. Looks like the CMP AP Distinguished Program is separate from the NRA AP Distinguished Program.
  4. Try this link: https://ct.thecmp.org/app/v1/ It's an account with competitor number required to register and compete.
  5. Same question here...but I suspect the NRA has thrown in the towel. I rec'd a questionaire a couple months ago RE: changes I would like to see in the Bianchi Cup, ie. prizes vs trophies, days of the match, side events etc. now this news comes out. Just signed up for a CMP membership.
  6. CMP promo, going to be a while until Action Pistol Rules are posted.
  7. CMP not NRA 2023 Bianchi Cup Registration opens November 16, 2022 (Actually 12/01/22) Invite letter link noted: https://www.gvshoot.com/index.php?page=bianchicup
  8. Thanks for the informative video..as mentioned I did locate an NOS 002 holster...but may still consider the Protocall unit if my shooting calls for it.
  9. OK Thanks all I located a NOS holtster via an ICORE forum...here is why I like the 002...a spacer fits nicley...positions the grip away from my hip.
  10. Thanks Guys..I found an 002 on another forum a couple days ago...waiting for it to arrive. Once it arrives I'll close this post. I like the 002 because I made an aluminum offset spacer that bolts in between the holster and belt loop....positions the revolver grips away from my hip.
  11. Because of the length of the barrel I need an open front holster...this is my modified K frame Safariland 002 Cup Challenge...I like these because they can be shaped with heat.
  12. That could work...but I prefer one with an open front - clam shell type. Also tried to locate one of plastic trigger guard lock units like this one...but for revolvers.
  13. Been all over the Internet trying to locate a holster to fit my S&W 686 Plus with 7" barrel (R/H). Will have a small underlug so someting like a Safariland 002 Cup Challenge could be shaped...but they are no longer available. Will be used for NRA Action Pistol competition. Could stick out the bottom if neccessary. Any ideas?
  14. Benito Martinez is the Bianchi 2022 Champion You can view the (pdf) results on the Green Valley R&P site in the results section: https://www.gvshoot.com/index.php?page=bianchicup
  15. This is also an excellent reference site; https://www.juliegolob.com/bulletinx
  16. One idea would be to sign up to this site: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/shootingusa It's only $1.99 per month (paypal), unlimited 24/7 viewing and has Bianchi Cup matches back to 2016 (2016-2021)
  17. Link is now working! https://practiscore.com/43nd-bianchi-cup-2022/register
  18. https://www.gvshoot.com/index.php?page=bianchicup Apparently the links (PractiScore) aren't working yet...
  19. From news reports I thought we had it bad here in the U.S. but it looks like our Australian Friends are getting hammered with Covid regulations and even Covid internment camps for the non believers? Tried to make contact with an Australian Action Pistol club on FB...but no responses. Just curious as to the action pistol situation over there, practice, ammo and if there are any plans to attend the 22 Bianchi Cup.
  20. Thanks guys..I had a brown GunGuard (4) pistol case...can't locate it right now (moved a couple of times)...but it was the size I prefer...and it's not thick. It was listed as 4 handgun...but (2) open revolvers fit it great.
  21. Used to have an old GunGuard case that would hold (2) scoped revolvers....any suggections for another large hard case.
  22. Julie Golob has a great newsletter with action pistol match and misc information. Here is the link: bulletinX – Julie Golob -or- www.bulletinX.com
  23. 10-4..the Stick Shift appears to be the norm now...I would be interested in the various calibers, bullets, auto vs revolver, optics etc.
  24. Thanks...a bunch of changes since the last time I attended, black X rings, no holster jump test, no competitor equipment survey. Oh well..next year!
  25. Years ago at the Bianchi Cup there was a competiitors equipment survey completed at registration and was later made available after the data was collected. Is this someting still practiced and available?
