  1. #1 Glock 22 or 23 #2 Glock 23 or maybe a Kahr in 40(more concealable than a Glock) # 3 Berreta 92 # 4 S&W 29 w/ 4" barrel or Desert Eagle in 50 AE #5 Kel-Tec in 32 or 380
  2. I checked out Jeff Maas website. Didn't find any info on 124 and AA #7. It lists specific barrel and comp types. I don't know what type of comp is on the gun? It has 4 chambers(four ports on top) and 2 on each side. I haven't opened the powder yet, guess I could take it back. Any suggestions? Still gonna stick with the 124s for now. TXAG
  3. Ok, need a suggested start for 124 gr. Zero and AA #7 for 38 super. I have reloaded for years and years but this "starting at max and going up" is new to me. I have decided to try Open because I have the use of an Open gun for awhile and thought why not. I will be using Win. and Rem. brass with Federal small rifle primer. I searched and found info on 115s and 121's but not 124s. Any info or suggestions for reloading 38 super would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, TXAG
  4. I thought the SCC match stages could have been better in some ways but I didnt design them, I just shot them. War wagon was the most accuracy minded stage of the match. I had more deductions on that stage than any other. The plate rack on 7 was a long way out but I had no problem with it. I saw at least 20 rounds fired at it with one plate left standing(poor guy). Accuracy is part of the game. If you don't have it you will be penalized for it. I design the stages for my club. I try to mix it up. I have found that you can't make everbody happy all the time. For the longest time I tried. It is impossible. I just do the best I can. Local matches are limited(or we are) by space and material for really nice stages. You do the best you can with what you have. Tightloop, volunteer to draw up some stages and help set them up. MDs love that. I get designers block regularly. I love to have someone else design stages. Makes my job much easier. TXAG
  5. Shred, what match might that be? Pretty sure I was at that awards ceramony today. I wouldn't know anything about being a M/GM on any level but I thought that was odd?! TXAG
  6. Was a great match. I didn't do near as well has I had wished but still had FUN! I got to meet several forum members. Hope to shoot with you again. For those that I missed, I was the loud mouth RO on stage 2(Border Crossing). I was a little upset that out of the umpteen pics from the match, not one was from my stage(so far) . It was a conspiracy against the out-of-towner RO's. TXAG P.S. Sniper, you steal my rubber snake off of stage 2? Saw you playing with it and it came up missing?
  7. Packed and ready, leaving at 5am in the morning for the RO match. See you guys on Sat. TXAG
  8. Paul, hope the one you have coming works. I would feel bad if it didn't. I never liked those ten round mags. To much trouble and not enough rounds. Good luck. TXAG
  9. loaded rounds tonight, gun is disassembled on bench getting a good cleaning now. Will be ready to go tomorrow evening. Getting out the slide glide now! TXAG (AKA Jason "ROin'" Sutton) See ya at the match

  12. Then I should be OK here in Texas, not long before our "national language" will be Spanish. TXAG
  13. I have run into a few federal 40 NT's lately. I know them by feel now. I just take it out and ream the crimp with a case neck deburring tool and stick it back in and load away. If I start running into several I will file 13 them. One or two out of 100 isn't bad. TXAG
  14. Plates @ 25yds.?????????? Holy crap? I am in trouble! Guess I need to head to the range and see if my gun will shoot that far?! TXAG
  15. I like my Asolo hikers. Good tread, ankle support, Gore-tex. Wear them everywhere, including the range. $130 TXAG
  16. Benny, great let me know how it works, your opinion of quality, and what fits and doesn't for 3-gun. Thanks in advance. TXAG
  17. Same old same old for practice, local or big matches. What ever comes out of the tumbler. TXAG
  18. I use a case neck deburring tool for that occasional crimped primer pocket. Works good. Wouldn't want to do 7000 though! Makes my fingers hurt thinking about it. TXAG
  19. I don't own any of that crap, am I still allowed to shoot? or am I just really out of style? TXAG
  20. Would like to but it is really hot that time of year. May be on the coast fishing. TXAG
  21. For that price it would be worth finding a buyer in Kalifornia. TXAG
  22. Its almost here! I don't have to work Friday. Will be shooting instead of working(and getting payed to do it), isn't life great! See the rest of you guys this weekend! TXAG
  23. Finally, a shooting pic that is more appropriate! I had put on some weight in this photo. Have trimmed back down to fighting weight since. TXAG
