  1. It is a fossil in terms of the ones I have seen today.(Don't have a pic, no digital camera yet ). It is a Tripp Research frame(Austin, TX). Built by Vandenberg Custom. Briley barrel(38super). Serendipity SL mount and C-more. Eight ports, 4 on top and 2 each side. All black. TXAG
  2. I will have to say that it is the most accurate(and fast) pistol I have ever shot. I would dump ten rounds on target as fast as possible and then pull out the P16 and G35 to try and duplicate it. No way. It is faster and more accurate than either. I think I might like "the dark side" of USPSA. Will be shooting my first open match this weekend. TXAG
  3. Two 550's and several thousand rounds, no kabooms. I have crushed a few primers in cases with primer crimps, but no bangs. I use federal primer exclusively. I will keep fingers crossed. TXAG
  4. I am not a marine, but I would have done it myslef, and then dropped the class. TXAG

    RPG's

Eric, I saw something just yesterday about a system they are looking at that will protect light armored vehicles from RPG's. It looked like a grill guard that went all the way around the vehicle. It keeps the impact off the vehicle surface which reduces the damage and casualties greatly. Hope they implement it soon and it works. TXAG
  6. I have heard these come highly recommended. Wish I could afford one. www.officedesigns.com Neutral Posture is the one I have heard high marks on. Happy hunting. TXAG
  7. 4.9 TG w/ 165 JHP @ 1.135" 4.6 TG w/ 180 FMJ @ 1.13" These are the two loads I use in my 35. I haven't had good luck with plated bullets in my Glock. Had to many of them key hole. Good luck. TXAG
  8. While we are taking about C-mores, mine is an older one and it doesn't seem to turn off all the way. When I turn the switch to "off" I can still seem the dot very dimmly? Anyone know what is up with mine? Thanks, TXAG
  9. I swap between jacketed and lead bulllets. If I have bought jacketed bullets then I use them for matches and practice with lead. If out of jacketed, then I shoot lead in match and practice. TXAG
  10. Definate thread drift but Tombstone has many classic quotes in it. TXAG

    Stage diagrams

I use a template in Powerpoint. I got some of my stuff I believe off of USPSA website. I drew several props using Powerpoint. Once you get the hang of it, it is really easy to draw some really nice stages. You can import images as well. I have tried other software but this seems to work best for me. TXAG
  12. I have never had bullets tumble(lead or jacketed) in any traditional rifled barrel but I have had plated bullets tumble in a Glock barrel. I never did any research into it. I just switched to jacketed out of my Glock. What causes it? I wish I knew. Hope you get an answer. TXAG
  13. I haven't changed class in over 2 yrs I think. Could be a long story without an ending. Gonna try open, maybe that will help. Doubt it. TXAG
  14. I hate that he died. I like knowing that there are still Americans that will give up riches to fight for our freedom. Remember him and his family in your prayers, I will. TXAG
  15. What ever gets picked up from the range! Avoid Amerc, and S&B. Other than that they are all good. I second the Lee FCD. TXAG
  16. RCBS carbide pistol dies, back the seating/crimping die back to just seat and use a Lee factory crimp die. LFC die works great and makes reliable ammo. People will say don't get it, but figure it out for yourself. Cheap investment and if you don't like it, would be easy to sell. Welcome to the forum. TXAG
  17. 165 Zero and 5 grs of TG, 1.165 OAL. Gives 166-168 PF in 5" Kart barrel. TXAG
  18. STI replacement mags for Para look like STI mag bodies. They taper lower than the Para mag does. I believe the STI mag holds one less round than Para body because of this. Idea is that the rounds go from double to single stack(top and tow under it) and feed more reliable.? Anyone else heard different? TXAG
  19. I have decided to do it! I have acquired an open gun and am gonna try the dark side for a time. Was gonna wait till I made B in Limited, but couldn't hold out. I am in the process of developing a load for my new toy. Will be shooting a match with it the following weekend. Guess B Limited will have to wait. TXAG
  20. Grew up in west Texas, landed in College Station Tx and haven't left. Texas really is a different country. TXAG
  21. Dodge and Chrysler, wouldn't be caught dead in either. I have driven Chevy trucks for the last 14 years. Little to no problems with the first for 10 years and 150k. Second was w/o problem but traded for an extended cab. 2 yrs and 32000 with no problems with my 2002 Sivlerado. TXAG
  22. Oakley! Still love them. Will buy them as cheaply as I can get them. Whoever it may be from. TXAG
  23. I have seen this with Glock 10rounders. I think Glock is so worried that you might get 11 rounds in it that they make it next to impossible to get 10 in. Load nine and let it sit loaded. That sometimes helps loosen things up enough to finally get 10 in the mag. I hate those 10 rounders. Pray for the evil law to go away in Sept. TXAG
  24. I am the "second to last mag barney bullet". I load the last mag in the gun and have the barney mag with 19 rounds(20 in front two) for last if need be. If I get to that mag that means I have gone through 61 rounds already. The barney mag is there in case one were to fall out running around. TX"Barney"AG
  25. Thanks guys, I will start the loading and see how it goes. It is weird to be loading above and beyond max loads. Will be a ne experience. Can't wait to shoot some. TXAG
