  1. Just installed my KUSA extended mag release and enhanced safety. Now I can reach the safety and mag release with my trigger finger without changing my grip. The next thing I’m getting is the magwell flare and I’m ready to go. The ALG trigger will have to wait. Also, working up light recoiling load using 158 gr. bullet.

  2. I had a similar problem with my.40 Gold Team. It began when I started reloading a new batch of range brass. After checking out everything I could I noticed I had some CBC stamped brass mixed in with Federal, Winchester, and Remington brass. After removing the CBC loaded rounds, I haven't had a jam in 300 rounds.

  3. Before I switched to unlimited (can't see open sights anymore) I used 3.5 gr of WST under a 155 gr Bayou Bullet. I used a 9 Lb recoil spring in my EAA Limited Pro. The guys at the club couldn't believe how little the gun recoiled. I told them I had been working out and was holding the gun with all my mightt but it was the load.

    40 S&W

    155 gr BB

    3.5 gr WST

    1.13 OAL

    9.0 lb recoil spring

  4. Dave,

You already know how I feel about the 40GT. Mine is extremely accurate and fast, but it would be interesting to see which one you prefer if you buy a 38 Super. I think in the USPSA arena, more is better, with everything else being equal. As far as plates go, I can hold my own against the 38 Supers and 9mm here in the Cinci area. But at 57, time is running out.

  5. This load works great in my

    .40 Gold Team

    135 gr. Rainier plated bullet

    8.5 gr. CFE Pistol

    1.130 OAL

    1280 fps

Very accurate. Quick dot recovery. Good plate load.

  6. I shoot a .40 Gold Team. I use a firm grip and keep the gun pushed out with my arms fully extended. I don't put much pressure on the thumb rest. If I relax my grip, the dot starts to jump around. This works for me in shooting steel with quick dot acquisition.

  7. I shot this load (3.8 WST under 155 Bayou Bullet) in my Limited Pro for 3 years with no problem. I put a red dot on the Limited Pro last year because of my eye sight and shot in Unlimited division. People were asking me how I could get such a flat shooting load with no compensator. I lied and told them it was my firm grip that kept the muzzle flip down.

  8. I don't know how "flat" my gun shoots but here's what I do know. With the load I'm shooting currently, the dot settles down before I have the next target in my sights. It appears to me the dot is not moving vertically at all. This is the sight picture I get when shooting plates as fast and accurately as I can. But when I'm shooting slow and deliberate, I lose sight of the dot for a moment. So my gun does not shoot as flat as it seems when shooting in a speed competition, but it doesn't matter because it's settling down faster than I can get the dot on the next target.
