  1. Sparky, Thanks for the words of wisdom! I'm glad to hear that these mags are pretty good in harsh enviroments! I will take the specs down and try to keep them at status quo! Thanks
  2. Bump... for hopeful advice! Thanks
  3. Since these mags are new, how would you guys suggest I measure and keep the mags tuned? Should I make some sort of mold? Thanks!
  4. i am greatful to this post, I will def give him a try. I am truly wanting to get the trigger eright down to around 5 lbs! Great advice!!
  5. Mine have the SNL basepads, Im not sure if they work everywhere, but they seem okay. Once i trim the mag spring a bit, they do carry 20, one even carries 21! Im pretty impressed with the results. I am sorry to hear that some of you did not have the same results. I just hope they hold up, at 119 a pop, I cant really afford practice and match mags to be different!
  6. Rencetly I bought 3 dawson tuned magazines and was wondering about the longevity of the magazines. I know that most mags last just about forever if springs are kept up or replaced. I was wondering if the tuned mags with the modified lips, do they stay tuned over time or do they require adjustments as the years go on? Furthermore, any additional advicee reguarding the dawson mags would be appreciated! Thanks!
  7. I have truly been looking everywhere online to get some insight on this dan wesson ss .40! I haven't found much on it, but the little I have found seem to point int the direction of greatness. I would love to get a hold of one, esp because they have been discontinued this year!
  8. I recently posted the same idea in the rohrbaugh forum with the same-ish results. I was hoping a more competition type people would have different insight on the issue. I have a r9, but joined the rohrbaugh forum way after talks of the r45, so it scared me off when seeing people post about how they put a deposit over a year prior and no word of the r45. I would love to have one though! I would also like a c.t. laser for the pup!!
  9. I have been copnsidering getting a 22 conversion for my sti edge. It would def make practive time more affordable, and it will improve my shooting with .40 major loads being more trigger time with the great 2011 frame!!! Now the questions is, which conversion set to get!!!???
  10. Thanks for the reply! Good comparison between the rohrbaugh and a j frame, never though of it that way before, but it does make sense! I havent thought of calling rohrbaugh, but your right, they do have top service! I was hoping getting a polishing of some sort would lower the weight, or perhaps having robar treat it!
  11. Check out Power Custom in the vendor tent.He has something for you to use. Nice site! I found a lot of things I am going to order, although I didnt find the take down tool. Would you happen to know the item number or the name of the product? Thanks!!
  12. The one with a hump behind the trigger guard, right where your finger ought to go? Pass. Good point, I never though of the trigger guard being blocked where the finger usually goes. The basic Cr rig comes with an A model holster, thats why I ask. At $240 for a belt three mag holders and a Model A holster, it seemed like a decent deal!
  13. I would totally agree that grip is a very important factor when dealing with top 5 issues with handguns period. Especially with IDPA and USPSA shooting!
  14. I would personally lean toward the 180gr instead of 200! Thats a bit much for my tastes!
  15. I can def understand the concern of not wanting to have the light trigger in case of legal issues...but I can also see the point of wanting a trigger consistant with how we practice. I would be apart of the party that carries the moded trigger job just to keeep muscle memory
