Any recommendations on general area or hotels that are close or within a reasonable distance to Area 2 match this March. Thanks so much.

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the fiber optic insert on the front sight of my shadow target
-
Just keep at it. It will come out. All the posts above are right on. I used a heavier mallet too, which helped.

Just an update. After an excellent conversation with Stuart at CZC, I bought a set of diamond hones on Amazon to remove the needed material on the disconnector. I took it off the front and bottom leading edge of the disconnector just as he pointed out on his previous diagram. Everything functions perfectly and I shot a match with it yesterday. Thanks so much for everyones help. The information on this board in invaluable.

Hey guys thanks so much, especially for the picture. It makes perfectly clear sense where you are saying to start removing a little material. In answering your question, the gun came from CZC and all the polishing was done there for the trigger work. I will take a look at it again tomorrow and try to post what I find from your last question.
-
Yes I do, but the screw is flush on the rear of the trigger. I had that problem some time ago, so I backed it out and put blue loctite on it. It hasn't moved.

Hey everyone. I recently installed the SRTS drop in disconnector from CZC on my SP-01 Shadow Custom. I am planning on calling Stuart with this question, but may as well put it up here and I may not have to bother him. Everything about putting in the part went great, but I am experiencing only one problem. I am at times unable to drop the hammer for my first DA shot, unless I manipulate the trigger a little. If I pull the trigger all the way back and manipulate the hammer with my thumb and index finger back and forth, I can feel the hammer not completely clearing the seer. If I load the gun, rack the slide and start with a single action pull, the gun functions fine and the trigger resets and I can shoot successive follow up shots. I'm assuming I need to work on the disconnector, but don't know where to start. I'm not a top notch gunsmith, but I'm sure with the right directions I will be able to fix this. Thanks so much in advance.

Thanks much guys. Trigger is unbelievable after everything is back together. Highly recommended!

Thx so much. I got it out. Just needed to hit it like a man. The tip of the disconnector taken out from the custom shop is polished. wondering if I will need to polish the new disconnector the same.

Received the drop in disconnector (SRTS) for my Shadow Custom. I am not able to remove the pin holding the original disconnector to the hammer. I am using punches, but it won't budge! Any suggestions on removing the pin would be great before I end up ruining something. Should it come out from either side? Thanks for any help.

You really need to chronograph your loads. If you don't have one, they have become very affordable and you don't have to spend a lot. Don't reload without being able to check your loads. Your problem seems to be mechanical, I don't think its your load. I run 4.0 of TG with a MG 124 JHP at 1.140' out of a shadow and get 128 PF.

Tired of sweeping spent primers off the floor
Brent D replied to Brent D's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Hey Canuk. That is exactly what I want, but I have a 550. Do the holes on that metal catch line up with the small screw holes that hold the primer chute on the 550? -
Tired of sweeping spent primers off the floor
Brent D replied to Brent D's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I understand from previous posts that beveling the pin is a fix for keeping primers from sticking to it. I've never had that problem, but I'm willing to try this and see if it makes a difference. -
I have a Dillon 550 with case feeder and load mostly for 9 Major. When I resize/deprime, 20% of the time, the spent primer shoots in any direction except down the primer chute and into the waste cup. I'm always picking primers up off my bench and the floor. My primer chute opens and closes perfectly every time, but the de-primer seems to occasionally shoot the primer out in an odd direction. Other times it works fine, but is so inconsistent. I wish there was a set up like UniqueTek has for the 650 on the 550. I've been loading for over 3 years now but am at a point where I'm just sick of it! Please share a suggestions.

Switching Production guns and need to work up a new load
Brent D replied to Nimitz's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
CZ Shadow Custom Target Bullet: Precision Bullets 125 gr FP Primer: Tula Small Pistol Powder: 4.2 gr OAL: 1.085" PF: 127 Your load for a plated bullet should be similar to Precision Moly 125. I think starting at 4.4 of WST and working up is too much. -
Thanks for the input, and I agree about the trigger that was done on my Shadow Custom, it is very nice. I wanted to polish the sides of the trigger bow as it wasn't done. I don't know if it should have been, but wanted to see if it would make any small difference in the DA pull. I just did it with 600 grit paper, and as you noted, couldn't get all the machine marks out, but I didn't try to either. I followed it up with a felt pad and polish using my Dremmell. Looks great!, but when all was back together, didn't really do much, but may have smoothed it out a touch.

Can anyone help with what tools/materials to use for "polishing" when working on my Shadow trigger. I want to touch up a few of the polished areas that were already done at the custom shop when I purchased it. Thanks in advance.

Rack & Roll. What's your load on Titegroup? I'm including some Titegroup with the 147's to chrono. Going to check 3.2 & 3.3 grains @ 1.135"

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it!

Loading up some MG 147 CMJ's to chrono in my Shadow (barrel is un-reamed). Haven't run this bullet before in my Shadow, so performed the barrel check with a spent case and measured 1.150". My 3 loads I'm going to check are with N320 at 3.4, 3.6, and 3.8. I am currently running MG 124 JHP at an OAL of 1.090". Can anyone share what OAL you are running this bullet at in your Shadow. I was thinking about going with 1.135". Thanks.

Berry's 9MM 115 Grain Preferred Pleated Round Nose with N-350 Load
Brent D replied to Nighthawk13's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
Not a good powder for 9mm minor. Very slow. I have only used it for 9 Major w/ MG 124 JHP. Try N320. -
Loading for Open (9mm Major) for the first time--do I HAVE to use a Sm
Brent D replied to frag316's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
Use your Small pistol primers for Major. No reason to use anything else, unless you're out of them. Chrono them both though if you want to see if there is much difference.
