We used the software for the first time in our local match yesterday. We had a little bit of a slow start getting the registration info from the iphone we used to register everyone into the nooks, for some reason I had to delete the match from the nooks and then sync for it to work. Once we got that it was much smoother than I had anticipated even with much higher than expected shooter turn out. Everyone that used it was impressed and found it easy to operate. I had scores uploaded to practiscore.com before they could get the first stage torn down. Today I was able to get the scores into ezwin, upload the match and classifier to USPSA, and pay the mission count without any snags. I am giving this 5 stars, saved me a boat load of time.

Not a thing wrong with this statement, however if you don't know what you are supposed to be seeing you can still be doing it inefficiently. Make certain you are getting your eyes off the sights finding the next “target” and moving the gun hard to that “target”. If you are keeping your eyes on the sights between the targets no matter what you are seeing it will be slower than location the next “target” When I say “target” I don’t mean the whole brown thing, I mean the exact place you want to shoot.

PS's generated html match results are the best in the business. I used to create match results like from ezws manually, and it took hours. They did all the work and all you have to do is upload the results to a location in your website and link to it. It looks great, and even includes Combined. Oh, and there's nothing rare about a DNF. We have one or two almost every match. I too like the results, the only options are to "share" them to Dropbox, email (gmail), or an IM host... would be nice to export directly to Practiscore or some other host, thus the ability to link. I'm not a webmaster so cannot upload there. What would be really nice is if/when you hit email results the results would be emailed to anyone registered for that match with an email.

Chris, we run one stage on our indoor range. Last year we had a stage where the shooters controlled the lights, but most decided that speed would be better than vision... several found out they choose wrong.

Before we scare anyone off here..... I promise there will be more light on the indoor range than last year

How about this.... Speedo "pose off" friday. However low we have to turn down the lights to make the scenery acceptable is the light everyone has to shoot in. yes we will be using self squading.

No new pits yet, since we had to move to a June date we won't likely have them for this match. So we will have the same lay out as last year.

breaking the tips is not not the usual failure point on the strikers. I would recomend sending the whole gun back to S&W with a note that all have broken in the same fashion. It is likely there is a problem with the slide.

The frames and sear blocks for guns with safties are different from the other guns. The only way to put a safety on a gun is if your gun has the frame already cut for it other wise you will be cutting through the internal metal chassis. Then there is the matter of the sear blocks being completly different between guns with the frame cuts vs ones without. Sorry to rain on your parade.

I have been using it for almost two months now. It is certainly one of my most recomended apps. You can also put in your exercise to buy you some extra calories. While I am not really trying to lose weight as much as lose a bit of fat, it is great for keeping track of the macronutrients. It also works well for anyone trying to watch sodium or cholesterol. While it doesn't tell you what to eat and not eat, anyone can tell pretty quickly where they can make some changes to save some calories.

I think the BOSU ball is a better option. You won't be as likely to hit the turf on a BOSU. I have used it for dry fire, and while playing the Wii shooting game. I have hear second hand stories of Eric Graffel standing on a lying down bowling pin while shooting to practice balance.

Melonite is a hot salt bath, no way to "overspray" the chamber however the chambers do need to be polished after the bath or they can be sticky, so is one part of the problem. Then next part is the angle on the extractor hook is set to 90 degrees. This means, any slightly large, any angle on the rim, or accumulation of crud and the hook can slip off. If you send your gun back to S&W they put a hook in with a steeper angle that bites into the rim much better and will not slip off as easily. the last contributor to the problem is the M&Ps unlock pretty quick. for the most part the guns are fine, but occasionally tolerances stack up and they unlock to early and there is still pressure holding the case in the chamber. These are the reasons why the problems occur, it isn't any one thing, but usually a combination of problems that lead to a gun that FTEs. The easiest way to fix it is certainly to send it back to S&W their customer service is fast and FREE. Next on the list is to put in either the APEX or the Speed Shooter Specialties extractor. They do work well and they fix the hook angle problem. The last and likely the most expensive way is to have someone like myself recut the extractor, polish the chamber and make certain the front locking block and barrel are playing nice together(not unlocking early).

I shoot Montanna Gold 147 CMJs loaded to 1.125. At 1.140 length is probably the problem. M&P's do not like long loaded ammo.

While I can do that for you I agree with Shaun there is likely something else going on. Probably ammo related since you are having problems with three different M&Ps. I would recomend chamber checking in your barrels a "lot" of ammo, along with looking carefully at primers. I wouldn't doubt it your rounds are hitting the rifling in the barrels keeping them from fully chambering. I had some similar problems with precision coated 147s the shoulder on the bullet was such it was easy to get them hitting, had to load really short to get them to 100%

You did try retracting the striker a bit to see if it would then engage? A lot of people forget that when you take the gun apart the trigger bar disengages the striker block as you remove the slide; if you do not reset it by pulling the striker back just a bit you can push the striker forward.

You are going to have to play with the springs to get it just right. I have two open guns one on a 4.25 in slide and one on a 5in, I have the same major load for both, one runs on the factory the other with a 13# (don't remember which is which right now). There are so many variables mostly related to load and comp effectivness to be able to say a particular weight is going to work for you. So just order a bunch from Kenny and start playing I would certainly recomend going with the heaviest that works for you. The main reason I always recomend the factory weight is because M&Ps don't like to go in/stay in battery with the lighter springs. You can try to balance with a lighter stiker spring, but this often leads to light hits.

I actually have a DP51 also, never shot a match with it, but your question made me go look at the rules again. The rule says Since the DP51 has an external hammer it would have to be "fully" decocked not just have the hammer lowered. To the average RO lowering the hammer would look like the correct starting condition, but in reality the gun is still cocked and not correct.
