  1. Check out the drop in Chip McCormick triggers. They are exactly what you said you are looking for.
  2. I don't like the feel of the stock grip safety on my Edge. Will an Ed Brown safety drop in, or will it need fitting? Same question for the thumb safety. It digs into the web of my hand. Will it need some blending there?
  3. I don't remember stages ever being posted for this match. Round count is comparable to any other large match. Jesse only brings half as much as everyone else because the mayor shoots doubles on every shot!
  4. Try the Browning Gold spring with the heavy piston. The first time you lock the bolt to the rear you'll be surprised how much less effort it takes.
  5. Bring a raincoat and a change of shoes. Better yet, bring mudboots! And a metal detector for the small plates in the woods!
  6. No complaints with my giraud.
  7. I run a 26" vent rib on my SLP. Feels great to me. I've never felt like it was awkward. With a plus 2 extension it looks even with the tube.
  8. I like the Remington reduced recoil. You should try several brands and see what shoots best in your gun. Different chokes will change your POI too. You'll have to shop around to find the best price.
  9. Shooting the clays thrown from a flipper has always been a weakness of mine that I'd like to work on this year. I normally run a LM choke. I've never used spreaders but I'm wondering if that would increase my hit probability or decrease it by spreading the pattern too thin. I'm going to buy some soon and pattern with different chokes. What's been your experience?
  10. I have one on order. Should have it soon. I've met Aaron of AP Customs a couple times. Very nice guy.
  11. Jamie I've ordered one of those carbon fiber tubes from apcustom. If I get this new upper dialed in by next month I'll bring it to the next match on the 21st and you can check that out.
  12. I don't have an answer for your question, but I know what I'm going to practice on range day this week.
  13. Maybe a separate "Amatuer" division would be better. Don't replace anything, but lump all the new(er) shooters into this class at their request. Allow irons, optics, 1x's, pumps, autos. Kind of a run what you brung within reason. Anyone signing up that is known to have competed at other major matches could be outed at the prized table and shamed! I'm just thinking outloud here. Replacing irons seems a bit much.
  14. FWIW I just went to your website. I clicked on the registration link and it was available. No back door action here. Yeah that's right, I said it.
  15. What if some of the bigger matches started running the same match on consecutive weekends. You could double the attendance. Didn't/doesn't MGM do something like this? I recognize that this creates a lot of difficulty in logistics, but it could be done.
  16. Why not build your rifle the way you want it and get a .22 conversion kit. Much cheaper than a dedicated upper.
  17. Check the gas rings in the problem bolt.
  18. This link has some good Q&A too. Click Here Q: Who’s it for? A: The 3GN Divisional Series is for the very best 3-gunners in the country. A continuation of last year’s series sponsored by Hornday, the 3GN Divisional Series will name the “Shooter of the Year” in five different equipment divisions: Tactical Optics, Open, Tactical Iron, Heavy Metal and Heavy Metal Optics. Also, the top five competitors in each division at the end of the season will be invited to shoot in the 3GN Pro Series Qualification Match. Q: Why are Pro Series shooters allowed to play here? A: Just like last year, the Divisional Series was developed to reward sustained performance over the course of a season in each division—to determine the top shooter in each equipment division. The Pro Series developed after the debut of the Divisional Series last season. To give more shooters a chance to play, 3GN launched two (2) additional levels to the 3GN Outlaw Series—Semi-Pro and Amateur.
  19. My order ID was 85, but I don't know if that means 85 people have signed up for semi-pro, or everything combined. To answer your other question I cut this from the 3gun nation rules: 3-Gun Nation Semi-Pro Division – Presented by Stag Arms 2012 MEMBERSHIP COST: $25 (Includes membership card; 25% Proceeds donated to 3GN/Task Force Dagger Wounded Warriors 3-Gun Team!) 1. Eligibility 1.1: The 3GN Semi-Pro Series is open to any competitor, excluding 3GN Pro Series competitors. However, a competitor may be registered in ONLY one of the following 3GN points series: 3GN Divisional Series, 3GN Semi-Pro Series, or 3GN Amateur Series.
  20. I was surprised Brownells didn't already have it when I was shopping for mine. I just told a friend to look somewhere else too. Hurry up, you're losing business! LOL
