  1. That list is going to get a lot longer. These updates won't mean a whole lot until the smoke clears from the last match. But its still cool to look at. It will be interesting to see people bobble up and down the list until the end.
  2. You forgot to mention the flechettes. I had a hard time finding those, I got the last box walmart had.
  3. At their webpage go to upcoming events and click on 2012 Midwest 3gun championships link. The rules are at a link there. It took me forever to find them too.
  4. Good idea. I fully expect to see that swinger again. Last year wasn't bad, but I wouldn't put it past him to move it back a few yards either. I did see some people shooting it on a windy day with cylinder bores at 15 yards a couple months ago. That was entertaining to watch!
  5. Could be the gas rings or the carrier key. Slowly feed a few rounds and see if the tip is hanging up at the feed ramp. I doubt it is though.
  6. You can still shoot invitational. I've shot several of these and had a good time. 2.1.9 Manufacturer’s Representatives: Regardless of other category eligibility, individuals who are members of a manufacturers’ shooting team, sales or product representatives, or professional shooters, must fire in the Invitational category. 2.1.10 Invitational: At the discretion of the Match Director persons who do not meet TPC eligibility requirements may be allowed to participate. These may include volunteer match officials, match sponsors, and firearm industry representatives. Invitational competitors are not eligible for awards, plaques or prizes. Recorded scores are normally maintained and published separately from regular competitors.
  7. I'd like to know where you are buying ammo that $75 buys a "bunch" of! lol
  8. There are some good posts on this already, but the Burris MTAC or Tac30 are great scopes for low cost and have an excellent ballistic drop donut reticle. Search on this forum for either of them and you'll find plenty of reading material.
  9. First trip to the range was this morning. I didn't get to shoot a lot, so this is a preliminary assessment. Accuracy was ok for now. With a Burris MTAC I put my 55 grain handloads at just under 2" at 100 yards and my Hornady 75 grain loads at just over an inch. I really won't make a final judgement on accuracy until I can shoot it to at least 400 yards and after I've put several hundred rounds through it. I'm pretty confident I can tighten up those groups a little bit. I will say I was impressed with the recoil impulse. The smaller gas port made a difference. I even surprised myself at how steady it stayed when shooting at a bank of steel poppers at 25 yards. This was with a Young N/M bolt carrier, standard buffer and Titan brake/comp. I'm looking forward to seeing how it does with the JP LMOS! For the price, you can't go wrong with this barrel. Thanks for talking me into it Ken. Dave
  10. I had a chunk of lead come back off a cratered target and hit me right in the "tip"! Yeah, that tip. NEVER AGAIN! I can't afford to lose another inch.
  11. I just got the Nordic barrel yesterday. Its already on an upper and ready for the range.
  12. I was using 250 as an example, but you confirmed what I thought was correct. I've never had a FFP scope. Thanks
  13. Would the first focal plane be a better option than the second focal plane in this optic? With the second focal plane scope, if you zeroed it at 6.5x but you only wanted it on 4x for a 250 yard target, you would be off. Is that right?
  14. I like shooting at 400 and 500 yard targets BUT, a 2moa target (mgm flasher) at 500 just gets kind of ridiculous for MOST of the shooters if there is any kind of wind. Put up a full size iron maiden target and life is good.
  15. The Vortex has great glass, but for me, the reticle was too thin. I use the Tac30 and the MTAC.
  16. The action is extremely smooth. I would guess because of the tolerences. I ordered a second one for a build today. It was worth spending a little extra to me.
  17. The Nordic is rock solid. I don't chuck my shotgun in the barrel like I'm trying to get it to stick through the bottom like I've seen some people do though.
  18. I run the +2 with no problem. I don't see why three would hurt.
  19. From looking at the squad list it looks like there are a few slots left.
  20. Not ever on pistol. Sometimes on rifle.
  21. My Edge did not like the shorter factory rounds. I have slightly tweaked a couple of the mags and it seems much better now. I've never had an issue with 1.180ish.
  22. What ammo were you using? When my FN was brand new it choked on the walmart winchester universal loads. It runs the walmart federal stuff like a champ.
