Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I did and what he said was that sometimes this happens and basically there's nothing he could do about it. If you read my OP I thought I made it clear that the problem is with items ordered through BE that are being shipped by Dillon. When I asked him if it were possible that Dillon was putting his orders on the back burner he said no. When I pointed out that this has happened on 2 different orders he said it was a coincidence. By the way, it's going to be 7-8 days not 5. Had it been one of my customers that this had happened to TWICE I would have offered to refund the shipping charges in an effort to make amends, or at least offer to pay the shipping if I chose to return the order. He didn't offer and I didn't ask so, I'll have to pay those shipping charges too. As far as "bad mouthing" Brian, I don't think I am. I'm doing what this customer service forum is supposed to be for, Pointing out problems with his customer service.
  2. Yeah well it didn't happen this time. The order wasn't shipped until Wednesday, 2 f##king days after it was ordered! The same day my buddies order was delivered! If I had ordered directly from Dillon I would be reloading right now instead of sitting around with my thumb up my butt!
  3. In the past I have always ordered all my Dillon reloading equipment through BE. But on the last two orders, the last of which I'm still waiting for, it has taken a week or more for my order to arrive. Where as if ordered directly from Dillon it arrives in 2-3 days. Good example, I placed a order for a 9mm conversion kit over the last weekend through BE, a friend placed a order directly with Dillon on Monday. His order arrived on Wednesday, I'm still waiting for mine and UPS has already been by so that means I won't get it until sometime next week. And no tracking number to see if it was even shipped. Guess I'll be ordering directly from Dillon from now on.
  4. Revolver with a 5" barrel. Trying to get major PF >165. JeremyM, what's your OAL?
  5. I want to put together a load to shoot in my S&W610. I have plenty of 200 gr Bayou bullets and vv n320 to use but what I don't have and haven't been able to find is load data. I'm not real familiar with n320 so I need a starting point. Is anyone loading this combo?
  6. I use a old CD container. You know the ones that you get when you by a bulk stack of CDs or DVDs. After shooting I de-moon then wash the clips. Spray with a little oil and stack on the containers center rod. You'll see any bent ones right away and they're safely stored. Not to mention you've just saved a piece of plastic from the garbage bin.
  7. Bayou Bullets are great. Very consistent in weight and very accurate. And like others have said, Donnie is a great guy to deal with.
  8. I've been toying with the idea of getting a bullet feeder. But there's a problem. I only shoot cast and swaged/coated bullets. "Bayou Bullets" and "GATs" specifically. And of course, both the RCBS and Hornady models specify "not for use with cast or swaged" bullets. So, has anyone who is using either of these units tried using them with cast bullets? If so what were the results?
  9. I emailed tech support at Dillon last night and it was sent back as undeliverable. So I thought I would ask here. I'm getting ready to order a 650 and as a owner of a 550b with case feeder I'm trying to find out what parts are interchangeable so I don't have duplicates and I can spend that money on a bullet feeder Will the cf plates from the 550 work in the 650 cf? Will the powder measures and powder dies from the 550 work on the 650? I have the aluminum roller handle on my 550. Will it fit on the 650? What advantage is there other than the ~2" height difference is there between the 650 strong mount and the 550/650 mount? Are there any other interchangeable parts that would save me some money on the change over? I plan on returning the 550 to stock configuration and selling it and it's case feeder once I get the 650 set up so anything that I can re-use I want to keep. Thanks for the help
  10. I guess I should re-phrase. I want a new sight that is .100 wide and .180 tall as opposed to the stock one that is .125 wide and .180 tall. My question is "are the dovetail slots the same for the standard 4.25" and the 5" pro
  11. Does anyone know if the front dovetail is the same for standard and 5" Pro series guns? I have two 5" pro series guns and would like to put a narrower front sight on them. I like dawson sights but I've noticed that they have some sights marked "for 5" Pro or 9L" only. I was wondering if this was just for height or for dovetail size too.
  12. I was watching a video clip by Todd Jarrett on moving targets and one of the targets he called a pop-up or pop-off target. It has two cardboard targets with a popper in between them. When you shoot the popper the two cardboard targets rotate back while two more "pop up" calling for a total of 9 shots to clear the target. Does anyone know who makes these? I've checked MGM and Arntzen and neither show it on their web sites. MGM offers something based on the same idea but it only has one cardboard target and one popper. thanks Jay
