The format this year will be either rifle only or a multi gun (rifle and handgun on each stage). We're opening the match this year to .22lr, bolt guns, WWII era ?? and the other usually suspects. We'll try to group classes together as best as we can. At the end of April on the 29th, the State Supreme Court has the ability to grant an injunction against the Un-Safe Act. If they do so, we're back in business, back to the way it was(maybe?). Some think the chances are slim while others think something may come from it. I don't know. If you want to hold the date, I'll hold spots for you. If you can't come, I'll tear up your check. All, Expect the range, especially the lower bays, to be extremely wet and muddy this weekend. We have had significant rain fall this week and flooding last night. If your squadding with someone, please pass this message along because all of my email addresses from the applications are not valid. If you withdrew from the match then ignore this message. Saturday has 7 openings (Group of 2, 2, 3). Sunday has 13 openings (Group of 10,1 1 1). I know there are more coming in the tomorrow so this will change again.

All, The match is filling quickly. Saturday is 57% full and Sunday is 67% full. If you are planning to enter with a large squad, especially on Sunday, mailing applications sooner would be better than later.

The 2011 New York State Action Rifle Championship will be held Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1st. Square Deal Sportsmen Club is once again hosting the match. The match application and further details are being finalized so this site will be updated when the information is available (approx 2 weeks).

A Shooters, First, I would like to thank the staff and RO’s for helping put on a great match that they should be proud of. I was happy that the weather held out and the pits stayed dry. We had three fun days of good shooting. I’d like to especially thank Tim and Barrett, Joe and NYSR&P, Chris and MDTS Training, and Dave and Rochester Personal Defense. You all added greatly to our match and I hope you can continue to do so in the future. The scores are up with only a couple of mistakes which have been corrected. If anyone sees a problem or mistake please let me know. I will be out of town until the 18th but I will fix any problems and re-post any final scores then. Any refunds and or paybacks will be done when I get back, so please be patient. Thank you all for coming and participating in our match. I hope to see you all next year.
