  1. Hello , You said that it's not the chamber and that the brass falls out . However, have you cleaned the chamber? I suggest you to clean the chamber and try it again . Also stocton's idea to swap extractors sounds good !
  2. Thats interesting how you raised the grip up like that. I take it you like it? Yes I do like it , because I can have a good recoil control without to press very hard the grip with my week hand . I'm shooting 40 S&W , factory ammo. Ammunition reloading is forbidden here in Greece.
  3. A few months ago I did some grips also (like Ultimo-Hombre) , with JB-WELD and silicon carbide like Pat Miles noted in another post . And it's paintable also .
  4. This is what I do now. Rather than paying a steep price for an SVI trigger and then more for the insert I just buy the STI Gunsmith fit trigger and profile it as I want it. Much easier than trying to fit the SVI. As you already have the SVI trigger... file away. Pat Rooster and Pat I thank you both for all that information and advise . And yes , you have both right about the STI Blank Gunsmith Trigger . I have it , I gave it the profile I wanted , but was not enough.SVI trigger was a challenge for the appearance of the gun and for the insert options . I try now the Enos (Top curved ) insert . I thought that Enos insert would keep my trigger finger away from the frame , but it does not (medium size hands). Perhaps I put my finger on the trigger using the the wrong way. I believe you tired already. From my babbling. I was glad for the discussion and for your help (rooster and Pat)
  5. OK , this was a very good and detailed description .I understand now exactly where on the sear legs should I file back . I already checked the pre-travel limit tab and it is not bent forward . With the files I am quite familiar. So i will give it a try . I don't mix sears , hammers and triggers .Indeed , I have particular Trigger Groups , which I do not mix up each other . Thank you very much and please forgive my English.
  6. I'll try it . I do have a SVI trigger in my STI pistol , but with a very little unsafe (I think) pre-travel . I don't want to remove material from sear legs and disconnector . Thank you for reply . Right now you say you have an unsafe gun due to very little pre-travel, so what's the problem with taking some material off the sear legs. Removing .010"-.020" isn't going to weaken or compromise it. The alternative is to reshape the bow on the SVI trigger which can be a long PIA process and you might just end up with a ruined trigger. I've done both and modifying the sear is by far the easiest of the two. Fortunately I have a Bridgeport mill in my shop which makes the sear mod a five minute job. There is no need to modify the disconnector. Pat Hi Pat . I do have some spare sears . So , I can try to remove material from the sear , but i do not have a mill available . Can i do it with my dremel ? From what exact point of the sear legs should I remove material ? Thank you for your interest .

  8. Do you tried to send a message through their Guestbook ?
  9. You are right . I notice now your avatar photo (sorry for my English) .
