Sure that makes logical sense…but when I changed from the aftermarket competition part to the factory glock part I measured 2 lbs less with my trigger gauge .Can’t explain why but I started with unpolished Oem and added a lighter usb and recoil spring and 3.5 connector and it only dropped from 7.5 to 6.5 lbs. Adding the Glock part dropped it to 4.5 lbs. I also had a G34 gen 5 with aftermarket 3.5 that was doubling. I added the factory minus connector and the problem went away..
Doubling can also be caused by issues with a firing pin.

I have a Glock 41 that I am trying to get down to 4 lbs. No polishing has been done on anything. I noticed that with aftermarket competition connector and spring kit it was still at 6.5 lbs. I usually add the factory glock minus connector . When I added it the trigger pull dropped to 4.5 lbs. Perhaps it’s worth a try.
If you had a minus connector in your pistol and changed it to a OEM Glock minus connector there would be very little difference in trigger pull weight. No connector made reduces the trigger pull weight in a Glock by more than 2# and I have tested the trigger pull weight before and after parts changes on a very large number of Glocks.

The 4# FPS and 6# trigger spring is not a great combination and may cause very weak trigger reset.
-
My new Gen 5 G17 with a Timney trigger is getting a 10 pull average of 2# 12 oz.

I'm pretty sure Glock 34's come with a minus connector. If it matters for ya.
The Non LEO models come standard with a minus connector and the LEO models come standard with a dot connector but can be ordered with a minus connector.

or the good old "+" connector, like a 1911 break, oh FYI coating or not it really helped to polish all the stamping lines and such off the connector, you want areas that contact to be flawless finish
IMO the Glock plus connector sucks.

Are you offering these plates and correct screws in the market place?

Check out this by Matt Kartozian in an 8-1-21 Guns America Digest article:
https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/timney-alpha-competition-trigger-for-glock-gen-3-4-and-5/
According to Matt K. you Gen 5 guys should be pulling 1# - 12ozs. with a minus connector.
Not.

To those of you who provide "trigger pull weights," thank you!
Even more helpful would be a description of your process: do you give the Lyman Digital a sharp yank like JG, or a smooth steady pull...also like JG in many of the various vids.Do you place the "hook" in the middle of the trigger, on the end of it, or do you ride the trigger guard like JG. I like JG's trigger guard ride; it might be more consistent since the position never changes through a smooth steady pull. With that information, comparisons can be made more easily...probably not even close to actual trigger pull weights if there is such a thing, but at least there might be more commonality.Hook near the bottom of the trigger and slow steady pull.

I'm getting a 4% failure rate with Rem 7 ½ SRP's...which is actually better than expected. Using a OEM striker spring from a Blue Label G34 Gen4. (I think the Blue's came with 5.5# springs). Will try a 6# striker spring later next week.
Other than that, the trigger breaks slightly under 2 ½ lbs. and it's 100% reliable with SPP's.The only difference between a new BL G34 and a new non BL G34 is the BL G34 comes with a Dot Connector unless ordered with a Minus Connector and the non BL G34 comes with a Minus Connector.

Hello, I do like my Timney trigger and think for a drop in it works very well. I guess I am cheap since I think a $400 Glock trigger is crazy. A 2-3lb Glock trigger is good enough for me and it can be done with stock parts. When a Glock trigger is two thirds the cost of the pistol I would look to buy more ammo to practice with instead. Thanks, Eric
Tell us how you get a 2# Glock trigger using All OEM Glock Parts.

Which model gun and which Gen?
My backup bone stock Gen 5 34 gave me 2lb 4.6oz with the Timney.
My primary Gen 5 34 that had a TTI GM kit in it and all polished up gave 1lb 15oz with the Timney.
Ten pull average on my trigger gauge 3# 6 oz. on a Gen 5 G45 and Gen 5 G17.

Hard pass on any trigger that need a 4.5# spring for me. It’s not worth the risk for a slight reduction in pull weight.
The Timney delivers a 2.5# pull with a slightly long reset using a stock 5.5# spring. I’ll take that reliability all day long.
Timney > all
Mine did not even come close to that weight.

Lone wolf distributors. They carry most of what you are looking for.
The only OEM Glock part showing "in stock" at LWD is a Gen 1-4 trigger.

I think Glock Inc. quit selling parts to vendors because they need parts in order to build pistols which sell almost as fast as they can make them.

Received an e mail today to order Gen 2.

Hello, I was wondering what connecter you guys are using with the Timney trigger? I have tried the "-", dot and a Lone Wolf so far. I have a couple more that I will try next week. Thanks, Eric

I contacted them yesterday, they got back to me late today (same time zone as I am in). I replied directly to my order confirmation and CC'd their customer service email as well just in case. May want to give it a whirl 10 days w/o a reply is a long time.
I sent another e mail to Timney today and will report back when they respond.

They really should include a torque setting on it although it’s probably super light like 5-7 in lb without breaking the oem polymer housing. I need to contact timney today about mine and getting the stronger return spring
I contacted Timney 10 days ago and have not received the spring or a reply.

Is the bar rubbing against the connector?
Not at all, I adjusted it several times and finally put it back where I started. I have worked on 100 plus Glocks in the past 20 plus years.

I sent an email to Timney yesterday requesting the heavier reset spring due to weak reset issues and have not heard back from them.

Hello, so what is the setup to use for a Gen 5 G17? I have a Gen 5 Timney coming this week to try again a trigger I did myself to see which one I like better. Thanks, Eric
The Timney I installed in a Gen 5 Glock has a 3# 5 oz. ten pull average.
The Johnny Glocks trigger I have in another Gen 5 Glock has a 3# 6 oz. ten pull average.
I will have to spend some time shooting both on the same day.

Is that pull weight for both JG and Timney with the OEM striker spring?Negative, 4,5# spring.

It’ll get better as it gets used. Mines under 2 lbs 12 ozs with factory striker spring and a - connector. That sounds good.

I have tried many of the triggers available for Glocks and tImney has the lightest trigger pull of all.
