  1. I had similar issues with 115 and 124 gr ammo but 147's seem to shoot closer to poa/poi. Switching to a KKM precision barrel helped too.
  2. I have to agree with lksyotas, Omar has been very responsive and is a pleasure to deal with.
  3. Change to round nose bullets and your problem disappears. Or at least that was my experience.
  4. Oh yes. Put a benelli firing pin spring and a geissele s7 hammer in it and that will all go away.
  5. For those of you looking to get a preview of the Bushmaster Tarheel 3-Gun Challenge, it sounds like we may get a good look the first weekend in March... http://tarheel3gun.c...d-in-mebane-nc/ The March 2nd, 2013, Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Match will NOT BE HELD in Mebane NC…it will be held at Woody’s Rifle and Hunt Club, 960 Christian Chapel Rd New Hill NC, Google map http://goo.gl/maps/A9Qym . This is the same location that the 2013 Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Challenge will be held in April…HINT…HINT… This match will be 7 stages, subsequently the match fee will be $30.00 for non-military and law enforcement and $25.00 for Military and LE (active or retired). You will see rifle out to 250-300 yards. This is a great opportunity to tune up for the Challenge match in April. We will also give away a Bushmaster AR15 Rifle and a Hiper-Fire Trigger system via random drawing at this event. Sign up for this event will open on Tuesday 2/19/2013 on tarheel3gun.com. The match is limited to 95 competitors.
  6. Registration for the February 16th, Inaugural Remington Versa Max Tarheel 3 gun at "THE RANGE" in Oxford NC IS OPEN...DON'T MISS THIS EVENT. Click Here: http://tarheel3gun.com/oxford-feb13/
  7. Looks like there will be another great opportunity to shoot 3-gun in NC. http://tarheel3gun.c...e-in-oxford-nc/ For any of you that haven't shot a Tarheel 3-Gun Match, you need to get out there and do it. They come highly recommended from a number of quality shooters. Charles puts on a hell of a monthly match and the Bushmaster Tarheel 3-Gun Challenge @ Woody's last year was great. I know there are at least 20 quality multi-gun matches planned in NC this year between Bushmaster @ DPRC & Woody's, Remington Versa Max @ "The Range" and Tarheel Tactical 2-gun @ TigerSwan. It's a good year to live in NC. G
  8. Try the Benelli firing pin spring and Geiselle hammer. That fixed my failure to ignite Remington Low Recoil Slugs problem.
  9. Is the benelli spring shorter than the stock one? If so i think that's the stronger one that i have that I'll be trying soon Yes, it was shorter than the VM spring. I have also noticed my hammer is flattening out where it hits the firing pin so I think I'm going to drop the geissele s7 tool steel hammer in to fix that problem.
  10. I had the same problem until I dropped in a Benelli firing pin spring. Now, no more light strikes.
  11. It looks like there's going to be another multigun match to add to the calendar!!! The match director from the Tarheel 3 Gun matches has teamed up with the guys at TigerSwan to host a tactical 2 gun match. Looks like there are going to be multiple divisions (tactical and competition), a Barnes Precision Machine Rifle drawing and access to a shoot house. Should be a good time. http://tarheel3gun.com/tarheel-3-gun-and-tiger-swan-are-teaming-up-to-present-a-tactical-two-gun-matches/ Check it out if you get a chance.
  12. I think they're opening up registration in January sometime. I'll post more information when I have it.
  13. Looks like Bushmaster is planning on doing another Tarheel 3 Gun Challenge in May of next year!! http://tarheel3gun.com/announcing-2013-dates-for-the-bushmaster-tarheel-3-gun-challenge-our-major-match-will-be-held-on/ The 2013 Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Challenge will be held on May 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2013. The Bushmaster TH3GN Challenge is our multiple day Major Match which will feature 9-10 stages , side matches and a large prize table. We are very proud to announce that Bushmaster will again be the title sponsor of this event. We are also very excited to announce that Woody will host this event again on “the farm”…hone your rifle skills because the format will be very similar to last year. The Inaugural Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Challenge was won by Clint Upchurch (Open), Chad Drewery (Tac Ops), Kevin Cates (Tac Non Magnified) and Steve Wall (Heavy Metal) and was attended by several other professional 3 gunners… If I know anything about this match director I'm sure it will be bigger and better than last year. If you're remotely close to NC this is definitely a match to shoot.
  14. That was the Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Challenge. The monthly match at DPRC is $25.
  15. It's fairly tight but not unloadable weakhand. Wolf spring is cut 12" past the end of the endcap.
  16. Did you know you can just change out the follower and it will hold 9? At least mine and another buddies will.
  17. Yes, there were stage DQ's. From the rule book, Page 3 - Section 3. Stage Disqualification 1. A participant shall be disqualified from a stage for impacting a non-designated steel target with a slug.
  18. Just a reminder for all of those folks with >+5 extended tubes like me. Remember to plug it so it only holds 8, otherwise you'll get bumped to open. This isn't like the pro/am and the rules read no more then 8 in the tube at any time.
  19. It's going to be 8 stages total. I believe they're going to try and shoot 5 on Sat. and 3 on Sun.
  20. Found a typo in the scores. We let the guys know and appropriate action will be taken. Give them some time but don't fret it will get squared away. Again, great match. Can't wait for round 2. G
  21. I've spoken to Angus & Rob at CZ Custom about this and had it explained...Yes, inside of 10 yards the bullet impact may be a bit high but if you're trying to shoot a plate rack or head shot at 20+ yards and you don't want to cover the entire plate or head with your front post it's the route to go. I wasn't quite sure about that logic until I went to this years Blue Ridge Mountain 3 gun match and had to shoot gongs anywhere from 35-70 yards and 4"x4" steel at 10-30 yards. I can tell you it was nice to be able to see the majority of the target while I squeezed off a round. Same match I watched an open shooter shoot 72 rounds on one stage because his 11 MOA dot covered the entire target and he didn't have it sighted in for small targets at long distances. A couple of glock guys I know that were set up for IDPA wished they had thinner, lower front sights for all the small targets after the match. My Shadow just kept knocking them down though.
