  1. Best recoil impulse, most trackable reduced dot movement from all the combinations we tried. The blitzkrieg hydraulic buffer with a 308 carbine spring, a spacer and a wave spring was the only other combination we felt was as good or better. No doubt Max did his homework.
  2. I followed Max's recommendation and went with 4 tungsten weights, the lightest 223 spring (white), and then inserted CS100-M11 wave spring in between the white buffer and the back of the SCS. That had the best recoil impulse IMO and runs everything including 115gr subsonic steel challenge ammo.
  3. Ahh, thanks Max. Read the following and just tossed it underneath the whole assembly... If any of you guys have the 9mm JP SCS, you'll want the CS100-M11 to do pretty much the same thing. It did improve the SCS for me a lot. You put it under the plastic bumper at the bottom of the SCS.
  4. I would recommend the CS100-M9 as I think it would be easier to assemble/disassemble. It's 1/2" shorter.
  5. I'm telling you, it doesn't work as described in mine or my buddies. The legs on the upper are wider than the gap in the lower in front of the pin. It will go forward 1/4" and then it contacts the narrowing gap in the lower. You can see how it's narrower above the safety. The upper legs will not fit in there.
  6. That works on some guns but not the gmr13 with the billet lower as it gets thinner right after the rear pin...
  7. Compressing the SCS. The weights move fine but then pressing capture rod back enough to clear the rear of the carrier.
  8. Just tried the CS100-M11 behind the JP SCS in my gmr-13... Definitely less dot movement, however, putting the gun together was difficult and I'm not sure how to get it back apart... Any suggestions Max?
  9. I hope you don't feel like you need 8x for a match that doesn't have anything further than 200 yards...
  10. I've had a holosun on my 3gun PCC (JP) for 2 years and it's held up to a number of rounds (5000+), being tossed in barrels, falling on the floor and just general 3gun match shooting.
  11. Buy an extra recoil spring and cut a few coils off the one you have. Go slow and cut a few at a time and test.
  12. 24" Beretta 1301C I've used it for 3 years in 3gun, shot sporting clays and trap with it and wouldn't hesitate to try and shotgun sport with the right chokes.
  13. I have both. Personally, I feel the 3 port keeps the gun flatter. I have machined a hole in the flat of both on the right side to keep everything as similar as possible and I feel they both track equally well, however, the 3 port has less rise.
  14. Based on the stiffness of the 9mm spring I felt that jumping to the 223 was a little too much so I went with the 308. It could work but I'd use the strongest 5.56 spring.
  15. Rather than changing the load, I changed the spring in the SCS. I grabbed one of my extra 308 springs (red one I believe), cut it so it wouldn't bind and dropped it in the gun. It still runs everything from 110 PF to 170 PF, is easier to manipulate, feels flatter and the dot definitely seems to move less.
  16. Looks great. One thing to check is how much clearance do you have between the gas block and handguard? Just make sure when shooting off a barricade and applying pressure one way or another you're not causing them to touch if they're close.
  17. Personally, I would buy the JP semi-auto chassis (forged, rather than billet to save weight) and send that barrel back to JP to have them thermo-fit it. The JP rifles I own are the most accurate ones I own. With factory ammo or hand loads. IMO, JP is the still the gold standard and was way ahead of his time in terms of game guns and support of the sport.
  18. I've been very pleased with my Holosun's (503GU's)... I own Eotech (XPS 2-2), Aimpoint (PRO & Micro), Vortex's (Sparc & Spitfire), Trijicon (MRO), etc...Myself and a few coworkers (I work for a major distributor and our merchandiser wanted some feedback) & fellow shooters (pro 3 gunners) did some comparisons. In our opinion with the optics we tested the Eotech had the clearest glass, Holosun was second followed by Aimpoint, then Vortex and lastly Trijicon. The Eotech showed no visible blue hue, all the others had some but the Holosun exhibited the next least amount. The MRO showed the most. When it came to magnification displacement the Eotech, Holosun & Aimpoint all showed none. The Vortex showed very little. The MRO was by far the worst. Mount quality was won by Aimpoint. Eotech & Trijicon were a close second. This was where the Holosun faired the worst but luckily it took the same pattern as the Aimpoint. When using a 3x magnifier and looking the optics the Eotech, Holosun and Aimpoint all appeared equally clear. The Vortex & MRO weren't quite as crisp. Battery life it seems like Aimpoint & the Holosun have a pretty big advantage. Now, I haven't put the Holosun's through the rigor of multiple 3 gun matches (Tarheel is my local match) but it has been on my JP PCC gun for some time and has held zero (did replace the mount with an American Defense) and done well. I'll be interested to see what else the company has in store down the road as the technology seems to be pretty solid. Just need to see if it holds up over the long term which the other companies have proven they can.
  19. N Turns out it was a barrel issue but we did quite a bit of testing with the SCS spring rate & BCG's. What we found out was that if you use a UL BCG and a light spring (white or black JP) accuracy was not as good as with the same BCG utilizing a heavier spring (green or yellow). Ultimately, going to a WOA 1/7 twist fixed his issues with the 77gr ammo.
  20. Mount is same as aimpoint micro.
  21. On par with JP. Jason Edwards had won 3 regionals in PCC running a Tresna gun.
