Make sure those first five rounds count. I agree the LCR is a nice carry option. I like mine ... all of them.

I think a parkerized top over a bead blasted stainless frame would look absolutely killer.

What caliber are you thinking, Mike?

I seem to remember a system that incorporated reactive targets that would beep when "hit" by the laser. I can't recall where it was available or what platforms it would adapt to, but I like that such a system would give audible feedback (like shooting steel) so your concentration stayed on your sights rather than looking at the target.

The last two 1911s I got were Springfield Mil Spec models. One in 45 ACP and the other in 38 Super. Yeah, I know, how lucky am I? As to what's next, I'm not sure at this point. Doesn't mean I won't continue to look though.

It's frustrating at times, but I'll keep this gun as it is very accurate for the shooting sports (USPSA, IDPA, maybe even NRA Action Pistol) and is a pure joy to shoot ... just so long as the magazines are 9 rounders.

Per the information taken from the PASApark.com website, the 2020 Single Stack Classic is scheduled for May 16th. Registration is open at practiscore.com/pasa-2020-single-stack-match-clone/register. It is listed as a Level 1 match with an entry fee of $40. It appears the match will be limited to 80 entrants again this year. When last I checked, practiscore was showing 40 spots left for this match.

I see that PASA has the Single Stack Classic scheduled for May 16th this year.

You may have to try (borrow, maybe?) a few different makes to find one that will function with your gun. My STI Trojan would not feed reliably with any 10-round magazines (including Dawsons) regardless of which mag catch and recoil/mainspring combination I tried and this was even after STI had recut the feed ramp to aid in reliability. This same gun will run like a sewing machine with any 9-round mags I've ever tried.

Rob did a series of lessons with Jim Scoutten years ago when the show was called American Shooter, I believe, which took you from basic grip and stance to engaging multiple targets with reloads and movement. Rob covered a lot of ground over a few weeks in the importance of each step along the way to becoming more skilled/competitive shooter. Not just for the novice, it was a great refresher for experienced shooters as well. I only wish this series of lessons were available today on DVD.

Well, either it'll stop the flinching, make him quit the shooting sports, or at the very least insure that he'll never breed any future flinchers.

Since there's so little difference in velocity I'm wondering if S&W's purpose for the longer barrel was more for an increased sight radius. I seem to recall Rob shooting 9mm out of his 5" Performance Center 627-4 (chambered for 38 Super) and making power factor quite easily.

This right here will give you pretty good results plus you'll learn more about your gun as well.

How recent was the injury and how did it happen? What is the extent of the tear and how much is it limiting your activities of daily life? What is the pain level (1-10) and how would you describe the pain? Is there pain with pressure to the area or just with movement and/or resistance? These are things you need to be sharing with your health team (doctor/physical therapist/athletic trainer). They will be in a far better position to give you advice than we can be over the internet.

It sounds like you might want to get a copy of "The Everyday Guide To The Use (And Misuse) of Colorful Expletives". It's kinda the Roget's Thesaurus of curse words. I guarantee you'll never be stuck for something to say ever again.

And Whitening or Cleaning? Does the Minty Fresh add anything to the process? I'm so confused.
