  1. Just a bit too rich for my budget. Okay, so a lot too rich for my budget.
  2. Oh crap! Now you're just getting nitpickingly technical.
  3. Sounds like a pretty dangerous neighborhood to be watching television from a stationary position. Might want to consider switching to listening to the radio. At least you can do that while moving.
  4. When I carry my revolvers I dress to conceal both the gun and the loading devices so this one doesn't interest me personally.
  5. Something to consider for your physical comfort in carrying a 1911 is your choice of pants. I wear Eddie Bauer because they are offered in regular and tall sizes. With the tall option the extra length to the waist allows my belt to rest above the pelvic girdle giving the gun and holster more support without having to tighten my belt to uncomfortable levels.
  6. So, I'm guessing all airlines pretty much still frown on doing dry fire practice on the plane?
  7. All this technical jargon is making my head spin.
  8. All of the K6s models use the same shorter length ejection rod as featured on the original 2" model so you may not get as full an ejection stroke as on a 4" 686. It is still an awesome revolver for defensive purposes.
  9. By any chance, are you a consultant for congress? Just sounds like familiar advice.
  10. I think awards recognition of the last three categories are actually at the discretion of the Match Director, so ... yeah.
  11. Under 18 = Junior 55 and over = Senior 65 and over = Super Senior 70 and over = Antique 75 and over = Ancient 80 and over = The Walking Dead
  12. Early congratulations on making it to the Super Senior level. Welcome to the club. Now, what were we talking about?
  13. Professional counseling can help manage the symptoms, but there is no known cure. Sorry.
  14. Results at practiscore.com/results/new/135597 Congratulations to Ben Oleson. Hoping for some video postings of the match.
  15. Not old, just older. We're not officially old until people say nice things about us ... right before they throw a handful of dirt in our face.
  16. Thyroid is good and the CT scan came back as normal so the next step will be a trip to the neurologist, but that won't happen before the first of next month. Oh, it looks like I'll be needing hearing aides as well. As my teammate Reggie used to say, "Another day above ground."
  17. Only 19 spots still open for the match. Sadly, I won't be able to attend this year (again!) and, before you all ask, the bouts of a-fib with my heart have been largely contained, the laser retina repair also seems to be holding up well, but I've recently developed some balance issues that seem to be due to as yet undiagnosed inner ear problems. I had a complete hearing and balance test done earlier this week and a CT scan done this morning so, hopefully, we'll know something soon. Best wishes to all those who will be on the range at PASA. Stay safe and good shooting.
