Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have tiny little burger king hands. So I need short triggers. I tried a 10-8 flat trigger and loved it. The flat trigger seems to promote proper finger placement and a consistent pull straight to the rear for me. So I put 10-8's on all my 1911's. Then I bought a P16........ I wanted a flat trigger on my Para P16. Guncrafter makes the only one for a Para, its a looooong one. What the heck, i bought one anyway and put it in. Lots of problems for me. I short stroked that trigger a lot in two matches. Took the trigger out, filed and ground it down for my diminutive hands and fingers. It works great now. Still flat. But now right for me. Love the flat trigger. Dave
  2. What Toolguy said. A bore that rough should be lapped. I have a S&W AR 22 that would NOT run. It wasn't until I had lapped the bore to be exceptionally smooth that the accuracy and reliability came around. The leading is pretty gone now. I clean every 3-400 rounds. That rifle was on track to be the only 22LR I have ever owned that would not shoot. After lapping it can skip a soda can at 100 yds all day. Before....well I could hit the can twice every 10 shots. Lapping will get it done.
  3. My Para P16 .40 S&W: 180gr Berry FP and 4.2 gr of 700X gives me a 153 PF. Very soft shooting. You might need a reduced recoil spring with this one. I run a 12 lb. spring. It is so soft I can't imagine going slower.
  4. Here are a couple of favorites: S&W M&P 15-22 SPOT redot VTAC padded sling Vltor Stock and Vert grip http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v414/Daveinidaho/107_0849_zps547a0a5e.jpg My Work rifle: 10.5" Noveske upper with Jake Brake Aimpoint Micro R-1 Gemtech Suppressor Bravo Company lower MOE stock Vickers Sling http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v414/Daveinidaho/107_0847_zpsb1b48f36.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v414/Daveinidaho/107_0848_zps6e61dfb5.jpg
  5. Great job! You truly hosed that last set of targets. As an side note, I won my local match last weekend with your old Para. Truly a great gun. Dave
  6. I knew Russell from my youth. I was always awed with his gun knowledge. i asked him once why he owned two Colt HBAR's. His answer was, "What if you want to shoot too." I have used that repsonse more times than I can count since that day. Sorry I never made it this match when he was around. He invited and I declined. Stupid me. One day though. He was a good Dude.
  7. I have tried two Lone Wolf Lightened strikers. Both broke with in 1 month at the same place. The vendor I got them from replaced the first at no charge. They credited me the second one. The gun counter guy says he has had a 30% failure rate on them. He won't recommend them. Now I won't either. I now run a Jager. I also have a titanium striker and it runs excellent. Dave
  8. If you get one together I will come up if I can. Never shot ICORE but I am willing to give it a go. I often travel to both Idaho Falls and Nampa for USPSA stuff. Sounds like a good excuse to shoot more. Dave
