Production equipment for USPSA, a question

really? any gun if you start tinkering and replacing parts it tends to break sooner or later. unless you get lucky try shooting one before you take it out from the list. I shot it but could not get used to it. I never tempered with any of my guns, I am a production freak )))) -

ha ha this is last off topic post by me, but no way I would go with Shadow. Saw too many people getting zeros on stages cause of parts breaking all over the place But I think I am getting the idea about what to do! -
Production equipment for USPSA, a question

Ok, if I keep the equipment as is, what about the gun. Glock is not good enough for it. Is it? What gun is Randy R. and other ladies using and are they customized a lot? Not trying to get off topic, just set up properly and not be in a big disadvantage because of the gun or equipment. -

I will be in GA in a few days. I was checking on this so I don't carry my equipment from Europe. Obviously, it is not good for USPSA. Here I shot my last competition with a Glock 17, CR speed belt, CR speed mag pouches and Amadini Ghost holster (Super Ghost Ultimate) - in Production. Also, 15 rounds allowed. What division would that be in USPSA? I don't think I could compete in some other division with this gun. -

Wow, I don't like those holsters But thanks for the info... USPSA is so different... -
I should be starting training for USPSA in a few days and I see some things are different than in Europe. As far as I got it, I can only have 10 rounds in a mag in Production? Since I wanna get all new equipment I need to ask if someone can point me to a right direction to what I can and cannot use. I will be using Glock 17 (and XDM) and I don't completely understand what equipment is allowed since English is not my language and sometimes I have trouble understanding. Can I use Amadini Ghost holster for Glock, like Super Ghost Ultimate? Also, are magnetic pouches OK?

Guys, this might be a stupid question, but is this IPSC? We use different targets here. -

Oh, this is really bad ))) How bout girls in USA? We try to look good all the time here. -
My best performances were after a night out clubbing and drinking, almost no sleep and red bull all day while shooting
-
Most of the RO's here shoot the day before while setting everything up. I can't remember the last time I saw RO shooting a match on the day the rest of us were shooting.
-
I did it again and won third place after 2 years of not shooting ))) the best thing was being 9th on a stage ))))) So people DRINK!!! hahahahah
-
I guess I will just do the thing I wrote about in the other topic - Not recommended...ha ha ha I'll post the update on embarassment when I come back to the country ))))
-
Well, I will try to use some of these advices as I am shooting my first match this Saturday, after 2 years of not shooting. Had to take health/professional break. Hope I don't embarass myself
-
Hey, I am also wondering about your daily mental routine on the match day. And what do you do on the range? Concentrate? Talk to people? Read books Swap fishing stories
-
Gonna read all these... It was always hard for me to loose a bad thought. It's like it moves slowly in and gets me all upset. It costed me few stupid mistakes a few times. The only match I shot without winning a medal was the last one I did. (At the time I gave up cause the results were being faked and not the fact I didn't win a medal) Anyway, first two stages I get two re-shoots!!!! That threw me completely off the track, especially that the first shooting was great. I could not pull myself back together the next 10 stages. I lost so much focus that somewhere on the stage 7 I even broke my protective gear throwing it away and kicking it all over the place

I was posting a topic and mentioned the same thing We once went to another city to shoot. Went early and planned to stay there for a few days. We go out, party all night and with only about 2,3 hours of sleep go to the range. You could see we were dead tired and all sc..wed up but we didn't want to give up, being the best two girl shooters there. OMG, my hands were shaking the whole match and it was the biggest I ever shot (most stages). Well, the other girl got a DQ on a tricky stage (along with many more shooters) and I finished it all. And won a second place. But it was so hard focusing. Drank at least 3 red bulls to stay awake and not colapse. The only thing that helped was a lot of adrenaline, I guess I was scared not to embarass myself as you say, won't experiment like this again, but it was a cool thing, having fun and shooting all in the same weekend.

How do you deal with stress at a match, I want to compare men and women considering this matter. I have noticed we act differently at a match which has a lot to do with focus and mental preparations to shoot. Do you "train your brain"? What do you do on the match day? Do you sleep enough the night before (we had situations where we go partying all night, don't sleep, go straight to the match and kick a$$)? What do you do while waiting to shoot? I have two reasons for asking this. One is this thread http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=97265 and second is that I am going back to IPSC shooting after two years of unwanted break So I wanna work on everything more seriously than before. Thanks
