Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Shoot it. Alot. At the most you would send it to Burwell for a Comp. trigger job, but wait about 2000 rds down the range. Welcome to the Pro Club!
  2. Wheel gun in .357 mag., another set off the "police return" pistols. A noob should want to shoot it, and be able to shoot it affordably-in this case they can run .38s down the .357 tube. Become familiar with the ranges and training, and work their way up to the .357 Mag. ammo for self defense. Less than $400 on GB.com all day long. Show him/her the Jerry M. instructional vids @ S&W .com on form, range etiquette, etc..
  3. For every action there is a reaction, particularly pertaining to fine-tuning machines which have movements of suspension (springs), and DIY activity. Write it all down in a sensical manner/order, results from those, and start your eval. from there. It sounds like your variables have gotten mixed up into a frustration which usually ends in a cheap sale. My Pro is stock using WWB 115s or 124s, but I occasionaly feed it what's on sale too. Accuracy is awesome, definitely not sluggish at all, with just 1 light strike so far in about 1000 rounds. ? If the Glocks are calling then return their call. I do believe Burwell is the best outside of the S&W PC, if you need a hopped up weapon. It's always perplexing to hear about troublesome M&Ps as my 3 have been relatively flawless, and my 1076s are like tanks under Patton's command. Keep us up on your results?
  4. My best groups concur with Ayoob's findings with the Pro;124gr anything. 115gr is fine and dandy but 124 is more accurate.
  5. I only read this initial post, from the OP, and I agree. Here's my perspective; I've been a sportsman shooter/hunter and Army trained shooter for more than the past 25 years. Did my first IDPA event last Summer, as a walk along with a group, to get the feel of what goes on. Overall it was OK except for the after shooting time when we ate. I heard enough anti-Obama bullshit to fill an NRA recruitment evening. Yeah, I'm a Democrat, but you see, I started my military life with Ronald Reagan and went on through the Bushes. The Commander in Chief is democratically elected as part of the American process, and the CIC deserves that respect no matter what political party you're from. I shoot for recreation and sport, not as a political activity. To listen to a bunch of whiny old men bitch about a certain political party is unattractive, no matter who they voted for or against. They can certainly exercise their freedom of speech and I'll take my money elsewhere to a place where Americans shoot for fun and pleasure, not a political statement of who they think they are, or who I'm SUPPOSED to vote for because I'm a shooter. It's too bad really, as the generation coming behind me is even less tolerant of this kind of crap, and where does that leave our shooters then? The boys would gather down at the barber shop a couple hours before closing time, then go walk the fences together for pheasants, no matter who you voted for. Not anymore.
  6. Oh my. Beautiful work to all involved there!
  7. My Pro likes the heavier 147 gr for accuracy. 124gr are pretty decent as well. Sorry no pics.
  8. I thought I knew what I'd get, personally, but after reading all these unknown acronyms I'm confused. When does the Limcat season open? Is that a bobcat with a shorter tail? So, pics needed from the OP; what'd ya get?
