Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I guess i didn't explain it clearly. Basically the cantilever rail has sideways slots. The mount i have has a sideways screw to clamp the mount onto the rail. This crew has to fit between one of the slots. It fits on my AR's and everthing else but these slots are too skinny. Do you guys have the same problem? Thanks Winston
  2. Hey guys, I just got a MKI and i can't mount things like a mount for an Aimpoint. It seems like the slot cuts sideways are too thin. Do you guys have the same problem? thanks
  3. It seems like in the article that they mounted a set of LPA rail mounted ghost rings, and the LPA high fiberoptic sight that goes with out. Check out http://www.precisionsights.com/barshot.html and http://www.precisionsights.com/sg.html I searched everywhere and couldn't find any stores, and dealers selling the winchester practical. I'm getting a browning gold for hunting and just play clay shooting first. Browning said they are coming out with a non-ribbed 22in barrel with cantilever mount as an extra barrel you can buy later on. (same barrel on the winchester practical).
  4. I've decided to go with the browning gold stalker rather than wait for the winchester x2 practical. I think the speed feed option is a good advantage on reloading on the run etc. My only concern is that i ordered the 3.5in chamber, since there was a good deal at cdnn. However on the website it says that the 3" ones work with a wide range of shells down to 1oz. and the 3.5 inch work down to 1 1/8oz shells. My only concern is that the 3.5in won't cycle reduced recoil loads that most people in 3gun seem to use (1oz). Does that mean you can't use 1oz bird shot (small brass size) shells with the 3.5in chambers for hunting or what not? anyone have any experience on this? thanks
  5. Chris, Thanks for the info. Yeah i've been really going back an forth between the Browning Gold and the 1187. I feel that the 1187 is more proven, more people have them, more smiths work on them (like vang comp) and it's easier to have sights etc installed. But at the same time i found the Browning gold stalker in 28in 3.5in chamber for $689, and the browning has the speed feed option which i like. Is there any disadvantage from getting a 3.5 in chamber? thanks Winston
  6. Hey guys, It seems like the rifled deer stalker model comes with a rifled barrel, so it's not made for shooting anything other than slugs. do any of you guys know which model would be the best to use for 3gun? Thanks
  7. Hey guys, Have you seen the new fronsight issue? I'm thinking about getting a Browning gold or Winchester super x2 "practical. After reviewing all the differences, it seems like the browning is better, because it comes with the "speed-feed" function and you can buy extended mag tubes from http://www.briley.com for $65. It seems like the model to get would be the Browning Gold Rifled Deer Stalker. It seems like the brother rifle to the Winchester x2 Practical (except without the extended mag). I did alot of calling around and only found one place that carried them. I COULDN'T find a place that carries the Winchester x2 Practical at all. Anyone know of a place? Well just wondering what your guys thoughts were on the article and the browning/winchester platform. Winston (Edited by winston at 5:16 pm on Nov. 8, 2001)
  8. Hey guys, I just went' to the range today with some ipsc production friends, and I tried out 2 glock 34's plus a 35. One 34 was new and completely stock. The other had polished internals, lightning striker, and tungsten guide rod. I couldn't believe it. It was soo awesome. I can't wait to get mine. The trigger was just soo much better and the recoil was soo good. Almost as good as my RRA 1911! well you know what i mean ahah I just thought i would tell you guys about my experience. Winston
  9. I would get a glock 34. I have a glock 19 and although i can shoot pretty good with it, i'm going get a 34. A cheap uncle mikes hoster is really really good and the pice is excellent. The 34 fits in the glock 17 uncle mikes holster it just sticks out about 3/4 inch. Once you get used to the glocks and their triggers they are really good. No safety to disengage, and i really like the short trigger reset. Also no DA/SA difference on first shot. Also you don't have to clean it often if you don't like, never jams, you can get mags for 14.88 each at natchez, you can get and advantage arms .22 conversion to practice trigger control etc, they also sell alot of after market accessories in case you want to shoot limited 10 or limited. 1911's and glocks are the only pistols for me.
  10. Hey guys, Another quick question. I was told that you cannot use holsters like a cr speed holster for the glock in production. What holsters and mag carriers do you recommend? thanks! Winston
  11. Thanks for the info guys! Do you think it's legal to have bomar's installed this way? it requires milling of the slide: http://www.geocities.com/davidwiz_2000/egw.html Has anyone tried Millett rear adjustable sights for glock? Thanks Winston
  12. Hello, I was reading the uspsa rule book. I was thinking about adding the following to my glock for production division: extended mag well extended mag catch titanium stiker pin metal recoil guide rod. I'm not sure if i can do these mods for production division. can someone help me out? thanks Winston
