Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have a JP5 SC and was reading some posts on being finicky with ammo and needing to undersize. I have not found that to be the case at all. My JP5 is chewing up RN and FP's and I have not had a single malfunction in approximately 1,000 rounds. For lighter loads I did switch to a 70 degree locker and it shoots 130PF loads like a 22!!!
  2. I had the same issue. I did contact Sig Optics Division and actually got an RA #; however, it was really obvious to me what it was. The set screw on the windage under the floorplate is very short and has very few threads which allows it to walk backwards and out similar to how an overtravel screw on a trigger on a 2011/1911 can do. I fixed mine by putting a very small drop of 222ms loctite designed for small screws and being sure that it did not get in the detent when putting the screw back in. It is crazy that they use this screw on such an important part of the optic. I love the optic and have purchased several more. All of them will have loctite on that set screw. I am glad I did not send mine back after hearing their Optics Division said it was fine.
  3. Had an RTS2 on titanium SV mount on my SV IMM Open. What I have learned is that there are some combinations of guns, powder, and mounts that either combined or individually make the battery lose contact which will shut your optic off. They have tried several diode/circuit board upgrades and are currently looking into a capacitor option to keep dot on if battery bounces. I decided on this to for a lower mount and a pretty sharp look; however, I did have issues in two separate matches. A slideride will be on my gun tommorrow. They just work. When the RTS2 gets worked out maybe I will go back. Can't beat the fact that the slideride is pretty much bullet-proof. C-More has great customer service and stands behind their products. I would have to agree iwth blueeyedme in the previous post at this time as well.
