    CZ 75 P-01 optic cut

To get an answer from an expert who would surely provide you with the correct information, I suggest you call or email Stuart Wong at CZ Custom in Mesa, AZ. He is the man when it comes to providing CZ guidance..

    CZ 75 P-01 optic cut

I'm as OCD as they get, and am completely satisfied with the machining and mounting of a Trijicon SRO on my CZ 75 SP-01 (non-Shadow) that Stuart and the gang did at CZ Custom. So much so that they currently have a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow 1 doing the exact same work to it.
  4. Good luck. I'm certain you will find the right combination that works for you, with patience and practice. Oh, one more tip . . . . . don't overthink it!
  5. I was raised shooting 1911's and the use of a thumb safety seems natural to me. I only shoot 1911's occasionally these days. I shoot CZ Shadow SP-01's and non-Shadow SP-01's regularly. They all have ambidextrous thumb safeties. I shoot them all with the strong hand thumb on top of the LH thumb safety when shooting freestyle and SHO. I shoot them all with the support hand thumb on top of the RH thumb safety when shooting WHO. It is a consistent approach that works for me, but as in most things about shooting pistols, one size usually does not fit all.
  6. None of them have the market on poor service cornered. I have experienced equally distressing issues with UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Amazon even biffs one now and then, just to keep things interesting. Sometimes it is an honest human mistake. More often, it seems to be human laziness and lack of responsibility/accountability.

    Cz rami issues

Given the new information you have provided, I agree with the post above. Send it back to CZ and include all your data and photos. The gun should run factory ammo, and it doesn't. Tuning it or getting someone to tune it on your dime are also options, but you should make CZ stand behind their product, and I think they will. Good luck.

    Cz rami issues

Is your ammo factory ammo or hand loaded? Are your problems occurring with just one type of ammo? Have you tried different ammo with different weight bullets, different bullet profiles, different OAL's etc.? A little more information would help in attempting to offer suggestions to help you out. Are you using factory OEM CZ magazines? If so, are they the 10-round or the 14-round magazines? Is your problem occurring with more than one magazine? Not sure what you mean by your statement that you have knocked down the sharp edge at the bottom of the breech. Are you saying you have altered the profile of the feed ramp?
  9. Less: Range lawyers More: Contestants helping with taping, setting up steel, and picking up brass
  10. Try JM Custom Kydex. Outstanding quality and CS
  11. Really? What is to be gained except annoying the match director? Sit in (on) the chair like you are supposed to sit in (on) the chair. I'm certain many will disagree with me.
  12. H110 for full power loads. AA9 is also good Unique for mid-range loads Read any articles you can by John Taffin on this caliber about powder/bullet combinations
  13. Canned air. Leupold lens pin brush. Canned air again. Q-tip and 91% isopropyl alcohol. Canned air again. Leupold lens pen (graphite cup end). Soft lens cleaning cloth. Takes longer to describe it than it takes to clean the lens.
  14. Could not agree more. The SRO 5 MOA is terrific. For me, It has been a significant improvement over both the Leupold DPP and the Trijicon RMR06, primarily due to the window size.
  15. The 407K and 507K Holosun optics are not yet widely available. Those two specific models are "micro" dots with a narrower body and footprint that fit smaller pistols like the Sig P365 and 365XL or the Glock G43, 43X, or 48. I would think there would be far better choices for your Tanfoglio in competition, including other models from Holosun.
  16. I had the barrel chambers LIGHTLY reamed on my CZ's. No problems after that. My COAL for MG 124 gr. JHP's is 1.140"
  17. I run two CZ 75's. One Shadow and one non-Shadow model. Shoot them both in IDPA CO Division. Both have Trijicon SRO's with the 5 MOA dot. I have previous experience with the Leupoid DPP with the 7.5 MOA "delta" and the Trijicon RMR06 with the 6 MOA dot. In my opinion, the SRO with the SRO with the 5 MOA dot is far, far superior for my eyes. No contest. The screen size is what makes the difference, I think.
  18. You can't make any CZ pistol SAO and use it in SSP division in IDPA. But you could use it in ESP division if it has been converted to SAO, or even if it is SA/DA) A good all-around pistol for IDPA is the CZ 75SP01 Shadow 1. It has no firing pin safety, so it is easy to get a good trigger pull on these pistols. Start the COF with the hammer down and shoot it in SSP (Stock Service Pistol) division. Start the COF with the hammer cocked and the thumb safety engages and shoot it in ESP (Enhanced Service Pistol) division. Add an optic and shoot the same pistol in CO (Carry Optics Division) division. Get a CZ 97 (caliber .45 ACP) and shoot in CDP (Custom Defensive Pistol) division Get a CZ75 Compact and shoot it in CCP (Concealed Carry) division. CZ Custom or Cajun Gun Works does great work on these pistols,. There are several more variations/models that can be shot in the listed IDPA divisions, as well as the BUG (Back Up Gun) division, like the RAMI 2075 model. CZ makes a gun that can be shot in every IDPA division except revolver divisions. And I haven't even mentioned the polymer framed pistols, like the P-07, P-09, and P-10. Go to the CZ website and educate yourself on the attributes of the various pistols they sell. Then reference the IDPA "equipment rules" section in their website to see which pistol best matches the division you desire to participate in. Try to attend an IDPA match near you and observe and ask questions. Almost any competitor is willing to help newcomers. Good luck!
  19. For me, the 75D Compact is much easier to SHOOT. YMMV
  20. I have had very good success in multiple pistols with a load almost identical to your 4.0 Titegroup load. Mixed brass, CII SP primers, but COAL at 1.140 gives me 115 FPS in CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow.

    SP-01 barrel wear

    I like to run all my CZ's "wet", because . . . . . . they run that way.
  22. I have two different Uplula loaders that I have used extensively on 10 different 9mm Gen1 STI 2011 magazines without a single problem , so it appear the Gen1 (both 40 and 9mm) might be good to go, and the issue is with the changes in the newer magazines. Grasping at straws here, but perhaps a call to the people that make the Uplula?
  23. What division do you intend to participate in at tomorrow's IDPA match? I'm asking, because it makes a difference on the condition of your pistol at the start of a stage. To answer your question to the best of my ability . . . . I have never experienced an issue with a "tight" safety on an SP-01, nor have I any personal knowledge of other shooters experiencing similar problems. You aren't attempting to engage the safety with the hammer down are you?
  24. I cannot answer your question, but I called and spoke with CS at Ed Brown and discussed these pistols. I came away with a conclusion similar to yours . . . . disappointed that they will not or cannot tailor the desired features to the customer's choice. The "funky" threaded barrel is the biggest turn-off for me, too.
  25. Completely agree. Awesome. Buy once, cry once.
