Hi Folks,
First post, but I have become a frequent reader... I just finished setting up my Brian Enos purchased 550b except for the powder drop and want to make sure I am on the right track.
I apoligise for the lengthy post, but there is a question at the end...
For my first loads I have Federal small pistol primers, 124gr roundnose Rainier bullets, and Accurate No. 2 powder.
I am looking to start my loading with 3.7gr of #2 with an OAL of 1.100" based on load info from Accurate circa 2004 which specifically calls out Rainier 124gr round nose.
However, the latest Accurate load data from their website does not include Rainier bullets. The Rainier site says to use the load data for lead bullets due to the composition of their bullets.
Using the 124gr. lead bullet loading info it would indicate a charge of 4.0gr of #2 with an OAL of 1.095"
Question: Should I start with 3.7gr and an OAL of 1.100" or should I start with 4.0gr and an OAL of 1.095"?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Allen
