Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have a 550 and recently change from 1 1/2 to 5 1/2 and noticed some issues. For one, now every once in a while the primer is not seated deep enough. Another is when I push on the lever to seat the primer, there is some resistance and it does not feel the same as other primers. Sometimes there is also a crunch sound when I seat the primer.
  2. It did not give me issues before and I had it set to the same belling but not after a couple of months it is crushing or leaving a lip on every 10 or so cases. There is not much bell on it as it is.
  3. I am using a 550 all with Dillion dies and I am reloading .40 with range brass 180 grm TCFM. OAL is 1.128. There is a bulge in the middle were the end of the bullet is in the case all the way around the enitre case. I have tried to some suggestions to not flare and just barley taper crimp. This helped slightly but it is still there. They shoot fine but still worried about it. Any tips? I have a U die on the way already as well.
