  1. I use a Miller 251 XL in my daily production. With argon co2 mix shield gas the weld quality is GREAT. The new electronics in these machines boost the performance and quality to a new level!! Consistant penatration and strenght is a must for my target system.
  2. Set up Sat at 3:30 could use a little help. Match starts Sun 8:30. rd count aprox. 100R,50P,35 bird, and 10-15 slugs. Looks like the heat is breaking, lets rock and roll. Would like to see about 15-20 of the "Rio Gang" The "Tucson Troop"will chalenge your best 5 or 10 against our best 5 or 10, If you think you are up to it. (remember,we have "The Kid") Hope to see you! TT.
  3. Kelly, Benny: You should have it so good, Yes 16" is a hard length to make a shooter out of. An 18" with a 20" gas system seems to be vary popular choice. A lot of the major builders are using them. I'm not done with the load dev. work with mine, but it shows Great promise. See Ya in Reno TT
  4. I've used a CAR for 3-gun for a few years. Started with a crap 16", no good Replaced it with a Hart 24"HHBAR cut down to 18" with a 20" gas system. Didn't have time for load Development before the MM3G, did ok with Fac. 55 ball. But now it prints. I can hit a 6" TTAR Plate rack @ 300yrds no problem. Set The ACOG 2 1/2" forward, cut off 1 1/2" of the rear of the flat top, alowing you to climb up on the gun, with the stoick colapsed. Installed a left side opp, handle, you can cycle the gun with the palm of your left hand without droping down out of the scope. Swings fast in tight places, HALO mounted at 2 o'clock with a 12yrd (0) 6" high @40yrds. Adjustable Gas system taims the buffer slap. Hope to do well at Reno. Will add a Pic on Sat. PS. Look for some new TTAR options at the 3-Gun Nats. TT
  5. MOR at 3-Gun Nats. Paint ball targets @ 50 yrds. Mike, Do we get to run 50 yrds first, Just kidding, good target. Looking forward to it. Thanks for all your work, all involved. TT.
  6. For close birds you can't beat spreaders shoot through a rifled choke, peels the wad off in a heart beat, great out to 15-18yrds. TT
  7. I'm swamped through the 3-Gun Nats. Tombstone Tactical is a Nat. Rifle Match Sponsor. Can't make Raton, Boo Hoo, commited to Mike's Match. Will have a hell of a display set up at Nats and Steel chalenge. Side Matches, Man on Man Sniper countersniper is done, new 8" 3 plate rack. Would love to come back from" Sodom by the sea" and shoot some 3-gun. I will bring the full show, lots of all, If you would like. Lets do a TTAR Match. TT
  8. Troy: Have you seen my Targets in Action yet? I am a Rifle match sponsor, and would like to shoot a long range version, I'm developing, In the MOR. 10" or 12" Plates. I am proud to be supporting our Military in Iraq. The marines are using my system. Reno should be a gas. SeeYa, TT
  9. 155 Palma Loads when the Zombies first appear out at 1000yrds, (can't do that with a mouse), then 200gr solids for the 2-3 deep with 1 rnd,(Zombies move slow, should'nt be too hard to line up.) As they get closer, shotgun slug practice time,(shades of SOF full body plate at 60 yrds). Then it's big stick time for the super. Then its back to the shotgun. Buck from the 15 shot tube, and a few tec's and there are not but a few remaining for the bayonet and the Shur fire taped to the tube. (ala stage 1) 3 Gun stage from Hell, lets try it in Raton, I'll build the Zombie TTAR's TT

  14. Yes, Thanks Gary, You are Tue. Night steel. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, and thanks to all that help. TT
  15. Where in the country can you find a mid week match.in rainy weather, that will draw 120+ shooters, WOW. I was allowed to set up stage 2 using 2 TTAR plate racks modified for pistol. I did'nt antisipate so many sub-minor power loads. we changed the course description to count a hit that moves the plate, but did'nt latch it down. Also found out that if you put them side by side, you should shield between them against frgmentation. R&D of a product like this takes a lot of time and round count. We put almost 1,000 rds on each system. A little adjustment and a few mod's and we will have it as reliable with sub-minor as it is with rifle. I think 115-120 will be as low as we can get. We will see. Thanks again. TT
  16. At the last Pima Pistol Club 3-Gun, Nov.30. we did a stage that was somthing new. We set up A Tombstone Tactical Auto Resetting Rack at 45yrds.(a " TTAR-2",with the 6" round plates), and a pistol plate rack at 12 yrds. The stage walk through read as follows. From box A, rifle loaded at low ready, on start engage 4 TTAR plates with one rd. each, (3 primary plates and 1 reset plate) Vir. Count. off hand only, record time, repeat string for a total time for the 2 runs with a 10 sec. pen. for any misses, or procedurals. Then move to box B and do the same with the pistol on the 12 yrd rack. The purpose was to make the shooters take the time to make the hits. almost all shooters started too fast and had misses. Salim D. won the stage with -20 in pen. Tim M.also had -20. was 2nd in stage. Match Winner Kelly N. had -40 and I had -50 with a 2nd place match finish. I only saw Kelly shoot. He and I started too fast and missed 2 of the 4 TTAR plates 1st string. 4-for 4 the 2nd. easy shoots that were stressed buy the infamous "Beeper Lobotomy". The overall opinion was that the stage was a good learning experience, that we should use again. The Match results are posted on TTTargets.com.
  17. I'm afraid of an elec. device in my safe. could it short and start a fire, or smoke damage the contents. My safe stores records, film and other valuables, and a few guns. I have used bags of desicant with blue dot cards, (moisture indicaters), for years. bake them dry 2-3 times a year and keep your safe sealed. TT
  18. Dan and I talked about pump at the Classic. He liked the idea of Heavy Metal, Pump, scored as a sep. class, much like Tac. iron v Tac. scope. Will check back with him. TT
  19. The Tombstone Tactical Auto Resetting Rifle Target System would be perfect for MOR practice. Use the 6" plates and dial in any distance with unlimited shots with out going downrange to reset. See post under 3-Gun or ck the web site for info. tttargets.com Thanks benos for an fantastic site. TT
  20. The next post shows The Tombstone Tactical Auto Resetting Rifle Target System, in it's new design. We moved the reset inside the side rails. the new design also absorbs 30 cal inpacts with no straun on the system. The TTAR will operate on .223,.308, 30-06 from 50yrds(75yrds is the Min recommended distance) out to ? with no elec, rope ,wind up, or manuel restting. You shoot the 3 lower plates down to latch, shoot the reset plate and all come up. prices up soon on the web page (tttargets.com) We will use 2-3 racks at the 3 -gun , 5th Sun. Pima Pistol Club. TT Thanks Flex "TT" Is a Trademark of Tombstone Tactical The Tombstone Tactical Target System is Patent Pending.

IDPA 4th, and if there is a 5th sun. in the month, we host the best 3-gun in the state. Some matches we have 75 shooters.Mesa has 2 gun 2nd Sat, high power of every kind, and as they said, The Best Of The Best live there. Where else can you shot in shorts in Dec. TT
  22. Plasma or torch works well, the trick is to go fast as to not overheat the cut edges. Heat will cause you to loose some of the edge hardness. Set up a guide to drag the cutter along. straight fast cuts are easy. TT
  23. Hang the steel from a piece of rubber mat or belt, bolt it to the back looping upward in a curve like an upside down U. bolt an angle iron with a hole in it to the other end hang it over a pin or rod. it hangs at an angle deflecting down, and rings out hits like a bell. TT
  24. The absolute 1st priority is safety, and it falls on the person in control of the trigger FIRST. An open class gun informs you if your ears are out of position RIGHT NOW. Any shots after the 1st is a choice made by the shooter. I'm do not know if the incident I saw is the same. The shooter I witnessed slipped on the ramp regained his footing with out violation of rule and continued. The ears coming loose was not apparent, after the "Clear" the shooter said he turned his head quickly at the end of the hall and his ears rotated on his head. The RO said she saw his head movement, but was not aware of the ears coming loose and agreed to a reshoot. I did not hear any crowd imput, or saw any indication of a problem with the shooter’s equipment. I was on deck and had the 2 or 3rd best view, and was watching the shooter closely for tips. Benefit to the shooter was followed by the RO. Great job. The shooter was polite and presented his case properly. All was handled in the spirit of the game.
