  1. What's the overall length of your rounds? Do factory loads do the same?
  2. I first met Dave in Missoula, MT. in 1990 and we hit it off immediately. A very genuine, friendly, dedicated, enthusiastic supporter of USPSA for all these years. He tirelessly promoted USPSA and I am proud to have called him a friend for nearly a quarter of a century. Rest in peace Dave, you will be greatly missed! Rich
  3. Here's a guy local to you (I think): krebaum@sbcglobal.net Not certain if he does "outside" builds as he's pretty busy building pistols for a major company but it ain't gonna hurt to ask!
  4. BAD! Couldn't see the screens at all in our bright sunlight. Battery life wasn't very good either! Ordered some of the e-reader ones that the Billings, MT club uses so we should be good to go.
  5. Posted here on 13 June by me: "Our club just bought some of these for our USPSA matches - Pyle Astro PTBL7C Android touch screens - good/bad/indifferent"? Bill Noyes response: "Maybe all right. Looking at a link for it on amazon.com, it at least says it has a touch capacitive screen (the right kind) as opposed to that other really cheap 2-layer plastic screen that milks over white in outdoor light. The big question is battery life. When you run the screen brightness all the way up (you'll have to),how long will the battery go for? Only way to find out is try it."
  6. We made the mistake of buying the $35 ones - buy the e-readers so you can actually see the screen in the sunlight!
  7. Our club just bought some of these for our USPSA matches - Pyle Astro PTBL7C Android touch screens - good/bad/indifferent? Thanks!
  8. Poppa bear nailed it! Melt 'em with heat just like fiber optic rods.
  9. So if this was not a classifier stage and only one guy out of 40 started with his gun like that, would it still be unfair to the other 39 folks who didn't start like that?
  10. Tim is an awesome 'smith! I've been trying for a year to get mine to puke and it just won't! I shoot 180/200/220's in mine and never a hiccup.
  11. I use a 10lb on a Calhoun six inch STI that weighs 36 ounces; a 10 or 11 on the five inch Edges - depends on bullet weight in the five inch guns.
  12. I bought a case of 125gr BBI's coated 9mm's to try and they shoot great! Easily as accurate as jacketed out of my pistol.
  13. Wouldn't you feel bad "gouging" folks for that pistol like the people hoarding powder for re-sale are doing?
  14. Well, I'm using 4.5 grs Promo (poor mans RedDot) at an OAL of 1.175 with a MG 124 jhp in a Limited minor set-up. Gives me a 147 power factor in a heavy Caspian 9mm and shoots so soft I was actually shocked at the high PF numbers. I got the reloading data directly out of an older Alliant reloading hand out for Red Dot. Disclaimer: USE ABOVE DATA AT YOUR OWN RISK! Load is safe in my gun only, yours may vary!
  15. Exact same thing happened to my Spartan 9mm about three weeks ago. Found a bushing that fit & put it in, no problems since.
  16. What Rich said! I just broke mine after 13 years of hard use.
  17. Hey Fowlmouths - does it rub against your trigger finger at all? Looks like it sticks out a ways in the pic.
